Check it everyday mate , its not the best thing in the world to use, for 99/100 jobs i need experience for , and with me just leaving school, that is quite hard for me to have.

Flippancy aside, what do you want to do and what are you good at or willing to learn?

To be honest , I have a part time doing sales on a phone but its boring i sit there for 4 hour without a break on the phone repeating my self like a broken record. What i would like to do is be a receptionist or a administrator , where i am doing different things and different times in the day.

I would suggest this: Get yourself a CV together if you haven't already; yes it's boring but it's your platform to success. In the CV, don't waffle on about schools you went to or hobbies, neither are really relevant. Outline your core skills that would apply to the job you are seeking i.e ability to effectively undertake a range of challenging tasks, tenacity, excellent phone manner, patience and problem solving ability with irate customers, willing to work a range of hours as required, good communicator, thrives under pressure, desire to learn new skills etc etc.

In addition, list your most recent role first and DO NOT simply list "responsibilities", it means nothing, just what you were supposed to do but may not have. Do not regurgitate a job description either, employers have no desire to re read what someone else typed in HR originally. The smart way is to label it as as list of achievements. It's a similar thing, but in a cuter way. If you need any additional ideas, look at the types of skills that the jobs you want are requiring (from the paper or online) and requote these as part of that. You are then on their wavelength.

The critical thing an employer wants to read is that you offer value for money, can provide something they are looking for (obvious but you would be stunned how many forget that) and that you have the right attitude. It's really that simple.

Google, Bradford recruitment agencies, arrange appointments, go see them, be on time, smart and polite. Go for temp and permanent roles and the key to success is to be politely blunt and say "I'm a good candidate, I will earn you money". Ultimately, recruitment consultants are there to make money, if they think you will do that, you're on to a winner and a fast track to a job. It's not ideal I realise to go to agencies, but in this climate they have a strong understanding of what is available.

In addition, get on Gumtree, Monster, T&A, etc etc. Keep going fella, don't give in. That seperates you from being just Joe Average! In the meantime, maybe write to the Bulls and ask if you can do a one week work placement or something to show to future employers you are still learning and are committed. BIG selling point. Think of it like a player going on trial.

Whilst it could sound harsh to some, tell whoever you are talking to that you are really keen to work because you need the money to help out your Mum. They will see that as bags of commitment, willing to help, genuine and won't have many days off sick.

I'll add in: check out your online profile. You've not necessarily come across as well as maybe you might have done on here. If that extends to social networking sites and the like - and if prospective employers check you out online, as many now do - then have a good think about what impression you want to give. I'd suggest you have a good tidy up and clear-out of anything that might not work in your favour. And if you can, add anything that might make a prospective employer think "this guy seems sensible and mature and positive, and I can see things that suggest to me he might be worth a go".

You would be staggered how many folk make themselves look complete assholes online - without realising the damage it does to their employment prospects.

Be aware too that some of the less enlightened prospective employers you come across might be Rhinos fans, or worse - even Halifax. Telling a prospective employer his team is a pile of poo and you hate them all is not usually conducive to making a good impression, so be careful what you say until you've sussed out whether there is a mantrap waiting there for you to fall into! And, flippancy aside, that applies more generally.

Also, tell the truth. Spun a bit at need, but keep largely truthful. I once said in a CV, many years ago, I did a lot of mountain walking (I did) and climbing. By climbing I meant scrambling and I knew how to use an ice axe (and that was true as far as it went) but once you started talking ropes and things count me out. Trouble is, the interviewer WAS a mountaineer, as it transpired. Bit of fast talking in clarification was required there. So keep it truthful!

If you are struggling, consider doing something voluntary or on an unpaid basis to fill in the gaps. As well as looking excellent on your CV, it will broaden both your outlook and your experience - and may well lead to an offer of a paid job.

As I said, you've not always come across that well on here in the past. But you've just gone up loads in my estimation. Good luck!

Echoing what has been said already, employers often see someone who is doing something - anything - in a better light than somebody who is doing nothing, and so (as well as potentially having a lot of fun) you could do a lot worse - especially in "Summer" (hah!) than do some volunteering in something that does, or might, interest you. If nothing else, you broaden your experience and plus you never know.

What a fantastic piece of advice, every youngster leaving school should receive a copy of this no nonsense, honest & common sense response from GB.

TBH I have given flippant responses in the past due to some of your inane postings previously, but as I am supposed to be the grown up I'll give you my two penneth worth.

Get a copy of the advert/job description, underline the key requiremnts of the job. Plan your response around those specific key outcomes &, if you can, make reference to previous experiences that relate to the outcomes, it doesn't have to be work experience, it could be sport, social, voluntary.
If you get an interview try & prepare as well as possible. Think what questions around the requiremtns could be asked & practice a response. If you can do some sort of presentation, even if it is only an A4 paper setting how our thoughts on the job. When being interviewed keep eye contact with the person you are addressing. When giving your presentation do it stood up, it makes a massive difference. I hate interviews but the more you do the better you become. If you don't get the job ring up & ask for constructive feedback on why you missed out, that's invaluable.

Oh yes and, whenever you go to an interview, you will always be asked at the end whether YOU have any questions. So be armed with just one good question, worth spending some time thinking up an impressive one.

A hunt around the company's website may often give you material for a question.

And prepapre an answer to the inevitable "Why do you want this job?" question. "To fund my drink problem" is probably not the best answer.

why i want the job?

Because you've read the job description, researched the company and listened to what the interviewer has had to say and you feel that you could really blossom in the role. You feel you could contribute to the role and the organisation whilst at the same time you feel you feel the role will help you develop. Through some job specific examples in to show why you think this. Makes it sound less like you're just repeating something from a text book.

Something like that?

One tip I learned is that when you shake hands with the interviewer make sure that you give them a good firm one. Make sure that the webbed skin between your thumb and index finger touches the webbed skin on their hand. This gives the impression of self confidence.

Also read your CV before the interview because if they ask you a question about something on it and you can't answer them it suggests you've lied on. In fact if you do lie at any point make sure it's one you've rehed so you don't trip yourself up.

Some great advise posted already, so a few thoughts that might help from me.
Very first impression is important. A good one won't get you the job on its own but a bad one will loose you it.
If they think you cant be d to spend time on yourself then its unlikely they will believe you will spend time doing a job.
Clothes and hair style are largly unimportant unless absolutely outrageous, its the cleanliness of yourself and the clothes that matter.
Unclipped dirty fingure nails for example and clothes that look like you have slept in.

One helpful hint might be that if you concentrate on listening when being talked to it has the effect of:-
a) actually listening to whats being said
b) makes you look attentative and interested as your eyes automatically widen slightly
c) You remain looking directly at the interviewer.
d) if there is second person interviewing you switch your view and full attention to them when they speak.

Much could be made of the attribitues you bring to your current part time job -think positively and list them. Reliability, responsibility, working in a team, communicating with the public etc.
You've been happy working there but need to move on to something with a more varied challenge. Do not critise your current job in any way!
Questions you might expect are hobbies/interests : you need to expound a little on a couple to show you are not a couch potato : beware : I also have the T shirt Adey was talking about!

When asked for your questions, You would be expected to ask about pay and hours if not already known. For other questions the best are mundane ones that already presuppose that you are going to get the job. Any Dress code? Know of any night school/training courses that I could attend in my own time that would help?
Finally, and really impotant, stand up and say in your own words
"Thank you for giving me this interview...I'm really interested in what you have told me about the job and I would accept it if it was offered. I really hope you will consider me for it"
