For those of us that stayed to the death, what do you think the players said as they stayed in the huddle for a good five minutes after the hooter in the p***ing down rain?

I hope this is the start of another Wakefield 2005 moment.

I think they said:

Did you all get your bets on? We got great odds on conceding 50 points.

Well if that's true they should be sacked the lot of them.

I think they most probably said lets put this one behind us.

Nah, they were all taking bets on how many points Mick would say the ref cost us.

I hope they said, the season starts here.

I'm inclined to think that if they were sufficiently displeased with their own performance to collectively have an impromptu inquest/rousing speech event then that's a positive sign.

That says to me that they feel a degree of shame (rightly) and that they intend to move onwards and upwards.

Interesting to hear that's what happened.

Personally I stood there until the final hooter went, at which point I immediately left. Never left before the end of the game, but there are times when I struggle to stay after the hooter goes. This was one of them.

If I had stayed (which would have been if the weather wasn't clearly about to p*ss it down), it would have been to applaud Huddersfield off the field. I applauded Menzies coming off when he was subbed and that's about as much as I could manage.
