Well I expected a flat and lacklustre performance and that's precisely whatwe've had so far. Child has hardly helped our cause but we're getting a real lesson in running onto the ball. Think our injuries and the last 2 weeks have really caught up with us today. Hope we find energy to show some fight in the 2nd half otherwise it could turn into a real hiding.

Not been this weekend due to illness.

On the face of it a very poor result, but not much we can do without Orford, Kearney and Langley.

All eggs were put in one basket this season to a degree on the signing front ( something i agreed with ) and we are unlucky it's not paying off as well as it could be.

Conceding 52 points at home to anyone is a bloody embarrassment but Hudds have not even been doing too well recently.

I thought we would get a walloping, IMO it was a typical Mcnamara's team performance. Without passion and without heart, which is what we have seen through the large portion of his reign give or take a few performances here and there.

They tackled and ran like girls which injuries or lack of funds cannot be used as reasons for.

One thing's for sure, I wont be sad when Macca leaves.

Strange how regular written abuse of officials is acceptable but a bit of light banter following a walloping by your near neighbours is not.

Our injuries have caught up with us and we just didn't have the energy. Hudds were very good, don't think they knocked on once in the first half and they gave nothing in defence.

I don't think it was lack of effort, but with the personnel we had out it was always going to be a tough game.

Despite being a mod on here do you actually ever read any posts? After all I cannot remember the last time we lost fairly and squarely without the usual ream of excuses coming from the usual suspects on here.

We got a pasting today and I just wonder what the excuse will be this week. It is a simple question to ask.

There's no excuse for not running hard or not tackling hard which is what we saw from the team today.

I thought the Huddersfield side were very professional and clearly 'wanted' it quite a bit more than we did. They looked lively and were playing today's game quite a few notches quicker than us today! The week off clearly made a difference but I don't think it should have made THAT much of a difference. I expected a flat performance today but I thought we should have kept things much closer than we did.

We sorely miss the 3 key players out injured and we desperately need some fresh legs in the pack. What I'd do for a Prop who can punch holes into the opposition and break the line. I don't know who awarded Koppy MOM but they must watch a different game to me, although to be fair I would probably have struggled to pick out a name. I thought L'Estrange was probably our most lively in attack.

Having our 2 key pivots (who are also our best HB and outside back) plus our best metre maker doesn't help. Being against a fresh Hudds team who had 2 weeks to train for this won't help either. From the off the odds were stacked against us.

ATEOTD though, we can feel sorry for ourselves because of injuries, but McNamara chose to have a thin squad with some quality players in it. At times it's been a good strategy, but if we don't get our injury period out of the way then it's going to be costly.

I expected a tough game today and thought we might struggle to get up for this one after the Leeds and CC tie. The was quite obviously some fatigued bodies out there today but as I said earlier, we should still have done better than we did. But it was a factor, I think you'd have to be an idiot to suggest otherwise IMO.

They were all poor Ewwen. None of them could bust there way out of a wet paper bag, Scruton missed to many tackles looking for the big shot.

I posted on the Hudds forum a day or two ago that with our missing and playing-injured guys, and our thin squad, Hudds would have to work really hard to lose this one. And that was before Orford ruled out. Shame Hudds did not work harder...

Ewwen summed it up. The guys looked knackered right from the off, and when Hall knocked on early doors you sort of knew then it was not going to be our day. What things we did try did not come off. How quick were Hudds up on us each PTB? How much more did they look like they wanted it, after their own awful May? Some more scoots from dummy half might have helped. Suspect most supporters don't realise just how many players are carrying injuries that in other teams with bigger squads - and more strength in depth - would see them getting a break. I suspect had it been us and not Hudds had the week off, we might have seen a rather different result. But hey ho...we move on. We desperately need some bodies back.

Awaiting Gledhill's verdict on the ref. Gave us little IMO but made sod all difference to the end result.
