I was listening to the Wire game on the radio earlier, and he sounded to be having a cracker of a game, and I thought he may be one to come back and haunt us.


But, as it happens, he seems to have picked up an injury. This is why we let him go, but I really do feel for the bloke, he was a great player but I think his body is just past it now. Hope he can manage to get a few more top level games under his belt before retiring.

It wasn't just the injury, it was his inconsistency.

There were numerous games (the one away at Cas last year sticks out most) where he was absolutely terrible. Constant errors, constant wayward passes, awful offloads.

There were also numerous games where he was absolutely brilliant. Which today may have been one of them.

The Wakefield fans said it when we signed him and we soon learned that they were right. He is an awesome talent, but he is just way too inconsistent. I can't think of another player off the top of my head that has such a massive gap between his best and his worst.

Lautiti, but his bad games occur much less frequently.

Agreed, for every good game he had he had 4 bad ones.

I see Solomona isn't playing tonight. Vinnie Anderson in for him on the bench is the only change from last week.

how can you have a go at the inconsistency of solomona and to a lesser extent lauitiiti,when you have the most inconsistant ball playing forward in sl playing for your mob in sculthorpe?

not to mention his troublesome disruptive behaviour at previous clubs
or the fact that he is also a penalty machine

Well I have to say I've not seen any of that during his time with Bradford. He's been consistent for us and has not given away a single penalty.

i can however think of a player off the top of my head that has a much bigger gap between his best and worst performances hence the reason i mentioned sculthorpe!

Sol, he may well have been inconsistant, but imho he was the best player we at wakey have had in the last 15 years.

Sculthorpe is a very good player, and once fit will do a great job for you. I know first hand being a fan whats its like to leave Wakey, the fans hate everyone who leaves no matter what the circumstances are, with the very odd exception.
