I see back in the 90s, Halifax and Bradford played for the Charity Challege Cup. The first match was on the 25-aug-91, and the 2nd was on the 16-aug-92. But was that it or was there more matches play ??

Going back to the early nineties, the middle of August would have been prime pre-season friendly territory, for the old winter season. I`ve no particular recollection of a `charity challenge cup` but these friendly games are sometimes given titles to make them seem more important than they really are, just to try and attract a few more at the gate. I strongly suspect that this is the case with these matches.

Well, we kicked off the 1991-1992 season on 1/9/91 when we lost at home to HKR, the date you give of 25/8/91 is the previous week so it must have been our final warm-up friendly. It isn't mentioned in RRLYB so clearly wasn't a serious game.
