doesn't matter who takes it on in my opinion. We don't have anywhere near enough class players to compete against australia at rugby league. Or Brazil at football ! or south africa at cricket !!!

The biggest problem that has been evident in this series is the centres. Bridge & Shenton just are not good enough. In fact, I'd say Shenton was the most disappointing player of the series for me. Our wings aren't great, but they're ok, same as fullback. Other areas of the team are fine, although we could probably do with a proper out and out hooker too (even though Sinfield impressed there).

TBH I feel sorry for whoever the RFL gets as it's pretty much damned if you do and damned if you don't for the England coach.

His hit on Lockyer was one of the highlights of the series imo.

His defence was one of the few plusses in our back line this series. He needs a couple of stone to give him the power of a Senior but I think he did enough to show optimism for at least one centre birth.

Agreed. He needs to get a bit stronger but he looked ok without being outstanding.

Surely Macca is now coach by default.
