probably not so he'd be fairly silly to sign for us if those are the reasons he's leaving leeds.

Dunno about Donaldson but he's more of a skillful backrower in the mould of Wilkin and Sinfield than a workhorse like Langley. I'm guessing Menzies will only play one more season for you anyway so wouldn't bring him into the reckoning.

Not to forget Whitehead and Olbison. Whitehead especially IMO will be a Super league player. He's only just behind Donaldson.

Totally agree about Whitehead. I wouldn`t be surprised in the slightest if he was a first team regular before the end of the season. He`s looked the part in every game he`s played. Admittedly he`s been, to some extent, (rightly) nursed along by the coaching staff but he`s got the talent to prosper in SL.

Allen is very much like Sinfield in that he plays loose forward as an extra half back. He's very creative. We thought a lot of him and he was on a long term deal but he clearly wants 1st team action.

As an outsider he seems like the kind of player you could have used.
