Bradford and Widnes together...not too sure on the widnes players apart from Mills but of the Bradford team and correct me if i'm wrong there's Van Bellen, Forsythe, redfearn, Thompson, mumby, barends, Gant, trotter, ferres, Grayshon and Casey?

Looks like Widnes brought more in the 18th century than Huddersfield brought over the past 10 years.

I remember it well. I was on the terrace in the bg with my brother and Dad. Between us we held all the trophies at the time although I think Widnes had the bulk of them and we had the Championship and the Yorkshire Cup. It was the last game of the season played in the morning so as not to coincide with the FA cup final on telly that afternoon. I think we lost 21-5 but we were three points clear of Widnes and had just wrapped up the Championship so the game didn't matter. It shows how much we were taking the pi$$ because Jimmy Thompson scored a drop goal early on in the game

I remember it well and was there too. I think our mascot might even have been Peter Seabourne, Barry's son.

The one with his hand on the cup? I'm sure he was much taller with less hair.

The Thompson dg was the following season, Apr 20th 1980. The photo was taken on May 12th 1979 when Jimmy didn't actually play.
