Why was he allowed to play?
A player cannot play for the academy and reserves on the same weekend why should a player be able to play Superleague and academy on the same weekend.

By the way the same applies to Jay Pitts who played for Leeds on Friday at Salford and played for Leeds reserves v Bradford on Saturday.

The rule is in place for reserve and academy games, so the same things should surely apply to Superleague / academy / reserve games.

It's a club's duty to protect their players. If they think they are upto it then who can argue with them?

He only played abouit 15 minutes, I doubt if he'd have played much more they would have even contemplated playing him in the academy game.

Talk about wrapping them up in cotton wool.

I know he`s a bit older but Michael Platt certainly played in in both the Reserve and first team game on the same day earlier in the season. I guess it was due to a first teamer pulling out late in the day but Platty was yanked off the field at half time and I couldn`t believe when he was announced in the first team squad.
