Since I posted this thread I've been looking at the stats King vs Lynch and tbh there's no comparison. He would be an adequate substitute prop but nothing more. I remember watching this guy barnstorming for "Ull a few seasons back, what happened ?

I think Thacks is a pretty damaging forward. He just needs to find a club and settle down, then I'm sure he'll be back to his best. He was really good at Leeds.

I can understand why some don't want any players with history of off field problems, but it's really something that does not bother me in the slightest.

All clubs have players with off field/ego issues.

That's debatable - he's already had plenty of time to settle at Hull & Leeds. At Leeds he took exception to Tony Smith telling him to carry the ball differently, and even bleated about it in the local press. He did well for us in patches in 2007 but his poor attitude (alledgedly) cost him a place in the winning play-off squad. He's still got a loose carry and seems to have a chip on his shoulder about Leeds axing him.

Also, people poke fun at Keith Senior for flogging a loser's medal on Ebay but I recall reading a thread recently suggesting Thackray has had to put up his CC winners medal for sale - not someone I'd like to see back at the club that's for sure.

King on the other hand is done - a good prospect 10 years ago though.

He was declared bankrupt 2 years ago so he's got a track record of being poor handling his money.

Still, I'd imagine selling a memento like that would be unthinkable to most players, in anything other than the most dire circumstances.

On Thackray I would say he's not the sort of bloke who fits well into a team situation unless he's allowed to do what he wants.
