| I hope Macca keeps the same starting 13 provided that everybody is fit and able to resume their places. Thought we looked poor when Jeff went to 6, kind of reverted back to our old selves.
Come on Macca, you know it makes sence to keep Sykes at 6.

| Agree with you there mate, I owuldn't keep Jeffries on the bench either. I'd rather have Hyde or somebody else on the bench.

Menzies has been ripping it up at 13. Plus we need to get Platt settled in that Centre for the play-offs . I'd use Jeffries at FB, He can't do that badly ? Or use Hyde at FB. I'd disagree with moving Platt or Beaver atm tbh.

Was thinking the same when he came on yesterday. He's not a great defender and he's pretty weak in the line compared to the bit of extra muscle that Sykes carries. He's quite fast and could chime into the line when attacking aswell, like Halley does. We could get him on the field without compromising the decent partnership Sykes and Deacs seem to have going.
Menzies has been a revelation at LF and he gets his hands on the ball more times than he does in the back row, which in turn would mean he creates more, more often. His mobility is also very valuable.
Dont rate Platt at centre much, but if that's what we're going with then best to allow him timee to get used to it. He's done a decent job covering to be fair to him.

Agree with all of that. I doubt Platt will play a whole season there next, but I'd imagin Walker and him will be playing that one on form, with Crookes covering both for injuries. Menzies should not be moved under any circumstances. Hyde or Jeffries at FB next week (if Halleys not back, hope he is) unless Straugheir is good enough to make his debut.

Probably wouldn't go with Hyde or Straughier at this time to be honest.
I'm not to bothered about Chris Walker, I think he's a fairly good player, his only problem is he's a bit of a crock aswell. When he's fit, he's good though but in all honesty I'd prefer Crookes to be given a fair shot at centre next season with Platt being used as cover for the whole three quarters line.

| Walker may prove to be a good signing (if true). 8.2 metres per carry, 8 tries in 13,

He can score them, no doubts about that.

I think he's primarly a wing man, but I'm pretty sure he's played centre a bit. Lots of players make the transition, so it's nothing new or not something we should be afraid to try even.

Lets hope he's not like his brother Ben when he was at Leeds. Good for a few games then pretty much shoight. Chris is definitely the best of the 3 though.
Can't help but think this is one of those Aussie signings that won't settle and there will be a split on mutual terms. Could happen with any player you bring over though

| Hmmm, would be worth a shot imo. He shouldn't be able to command top wages, but after that article it looks like we'll be paying him alot.

| The first reports that we heard were suggesting the Bulls had put a 100k offer on the table to him.

I said at the time of signing Beaver I'd like to see him at 13, it never materialised this season, however next season I suspect he'll be used more in this position.
