It says on Wikipedia the Langley is a target for Super League rivals St.Helens. I know you cant go buy Wiki but its the first ive heard of it. He seems to have been playing well of late. Cant see it myself.

Both Langley and Nero are OOC Sept 10 if I'm correct. We should be negotiating an extension with Langley ASAP in my books. I can take or leave Nero.

Apart from some cracking defense.. what exactly does Langley offer? He's dire in attack. Nero, we should be looking to re-sign, he's been awesome this year and is probably one of the few players we have in the backs who is actually world class.

Take Langley out of our pack, and our whole defense worsens, look back at the games when he was injured.


Nero has been quality, but not World class imo.

World class wasn't the right word to use.. Quality was more of what I was looking for.

Langley would be better, if he pumped his legs up when taking the ball in, rather than just strolling into the wall of defenders infront of him without making any metres.

Cracking defence and great go forward are what Langley offers, a perfect reason to re-sign him. He's no Anthony Watmough, but dire in attack he is not.

We must be watching completely different games then. Langley's had no more than 2 or 3 good games in the attacking department all year.

Yep, 3 or 4 to get to the wall. Then he just seems to stop. Too bulky and doesn't use it to his advantage.

Could it not be that teams notice the danger of his size and rush 3 or 4 defenders into him to limit his metres?

I'll take a look on Sunday. For the mean time, I'm sticking by him being just e in attack.

It depends what you consider good in the attacking department doesn't it?
I'd say somebody that makes ground consistently is a good attacker, which Langley does.

I agree with that, but there is times I wish he'd try an offload, but hey, if it's not one of his strong points it may be best not to risk it.

I do think many of our fans let Langleys extreme hard work in defence go unnoticed.

It's all of those gaps that the brilliant Terry Newton's been putting him through that makes him a great attacker.

I think he is under contracct til 2011 is he not. Langley is a player all teams need, he is not flashy, but he does all the hard work, making lots of tackles and hit ups and often playing 70+ mins. Resigning him is a must.

That's just hit me. He has looked alot better in attack whilst Godwins been playing 80 mins. He also looked good as a makeshift Hooker.

I'm looking forward to Godwin & L'Estrange next year, both young, fast and talented. Godwin's passing has been pinpoint accurate in recent weeks aswell.

He's just not that type of player like others like Solomona that like to throw the ball into touch, on the ground or into the hands of the opposition, take your pick. I'd rather have a consistent player that makes ground.
