I think he's the sort of prop forward that would do very well in the ESL.

He's agressive and has some mongral in him.

Very solid defender. He's a big unit.

We don't need props we've got a good pack and for me we have one of the best props in super league in Lynch, what we need are half backs and another centre with Nero.

Exactly, the pack isn't the problem. A quick half back and quick line breaking centre is a must.

I disagree the pack at times this season has struggled for go forward.

Don't agree with you there. More often than not the pack has done the hard work and laid a platform but unfortunately the backs haven't had the end product.

This years pack is up with the best and will only improve next year with the signings we've already announced.

pack probably has struggled at times but weve had key members of it sat on sidelines for a significant part of season tbf. take morrison,solomona and godwin out of any pack and its going to be weaker, plus we've had to use menzies in a lot to vocer for injuries. given hall playing there all season instead of morro and solo for half a season plus l'estrange to take some workload off wagga and the likes of donaldson,whitehead and olbison getting more game time then even assuming sam goes don't think strengthening pack further should be a priority and especially not at the expense of a quota space.
We really need to concentrate on getting some quality in the backs this year imo. hall and l'estrange were necessary signings to cover departures of morro,solomona and newton, but further signings need to be in backs.

Rather depends on the ins and outs over the next few weeks to be honest. We`ve been told a couple of definite ins (Hall and L`Estrange) plus we have a couple of outs (Newton and Morrison) but little else is definite yet (or been denied by Duffers). What would we need if, suddenly, a Burgess sized hole appeared in the front row? `Cos, much as the club wouldn`t want to announce it in season ticket buying times, I for one wouldn`t rule it out.

Usually the case after 20mins when we've needed impact from the bench. Unfortunately we've lacked any impact until McNamara had a brainwave and put Burgess on the bench, not ideal but better than nowt.

No doubt about it the pack has been poor on a hole host of occasions this season. It will be even worse next season with the loss of Newton and probably/possibly Burgess.

A Burgess size hole will not be filled with a player like Jaiman Lowe.

We've missed big Joe all this season, we'll continue to miss him next (maybe a little less) , but i Burgess goes we will need a huge nasty monster prop into our pack. Not a player like Lowe, or we will do even worse than last year.

I think we`ve missed Joe because Sam hasn`t quite been the `presence` in the side we all expected. That `s not knocking Sam, as a young and still developing bloke, this is always to be expected to some extent but it`s had an effect on the team, and on their not meeting our expectations, never the less.

I agree that he`s looked more like his old self, and had a bigger influence on the game, when coming on from the bench.

Joe was an impact prop who did exactly that, and only that. His function was printed on the tin, for which he was supreme.
He was unencumbered by thoughts of changing his position or how best to use a blossoming talent.
Sam is certainly a more talented player all round, though not in Joe's primary role. At least not yet.
It will be interesting if/when he goes to NRL as to where they play him and develop his game down those lines.

I`m not sure how the Aussies would look to developing young British talent to be honest. For sure, I expect that, to some extent, they`d want what`s best for `their` player, but quite definitely,in the light of him being an expensive import who they, not unnaturally, expect to perform, and I don`t think he would get the same, dare I say, altruistic treatment from them that he would doubtless get at the Bulls.
