| Despite all the talk about shortage of half backs we look a lot worse off in the forwards. Morrison is off, and also gossip states Cook and surely Solomona will not play next year? Worrincey and Menzies appear to be the only players with regular first team experience, unless we move Nero, and after his form this year that will weaken the backs.
There appears to be little talk of replacements, and I can see Mac's statement that the Beaver next season will be used more sparingly will not come to fruition. Let's hope our youngsters can fill the bill.

| We will have Menzies, Langley, Worrincey, Donaldson, Whitehead, Olbison plus Hall has played some 2nd row but may feature more at Prop for us. Lose Menzies and our back row looks to lack experience, I expect we may some at least one recruit in this area. Somebody in the mould of Westwood would fit in well if he is available.
I'm more concerned about halfback just at the moment. But I agree that to replace 3 established SL standard 2nd rowers with 3 young guys isn't a great idea. I think we can bring in 1 2nd rower and still give plenty of opportunities for people like Whitehead and Donaldson.

Sam is playing his best rugby all season as an impact prop.

Agreed.
I think it could well be the season where the likes of Donaldson, Whitehead and Olbison are thrust in much more. With Menzies, Langley and Worrincy in the mix there would seem to be enough IMO. At a push Hall, Burgess and Nero can slot into the 2nd row.
Hopefully we'll see any recruits fill in the gaps at halfback and centre.

| Surely with Scruton, Lynch and Burgess already at props, complemented by Kopczak, Glenn Hall will more likely be a starting back rower next year, along with Menzies and Langley?
I don't like the thought of Worrincy being a first choice starter.

| With Menzies, Langley, Burgess, Hall, Olbsion, Whitehead, Donaldson we have plenty of cover and options available. Signing anymore will deprive young players ofvaluable game time, as we have seen with Cook over his Bulls career.

Because when Macca signed Hall, he said we'd be using him as a prop. I'd much prefer Burgess to keep this current role as an impact prop, he's playing the best he has so far this season, hopefully Macca will do as you have said, but i'm not so sure.

| Burgess plays best at SR, no doubt about it.
Can't see Macca starting with Worrincy as SR next season, surley he realises he's not upto that standard.

I chop and change with Burgess tbh, maybe Macca does aswell. You can't argue with the fact that he's hit form since being put back at prop though.

Nope, he's playing well. He's a good prop aswell, no doubt about it. I just think his strong running, pace for a big man and frame is utilised best outwide on the flanks where most centres and second rowers in SL are dwarfed by him.
I think we are getting more out of him now because he's coming on against tired defences when there best props have gone off the field and there other guys struggle to contend with what he offers.
