| That would leave us with 5 overseas recruits, with the quota players already at the club, would we have room for, Hall, L'Estrange, Kearney, Millard and Walker?
I don't think we'll get Millard, personally, nothing I've read seems convincing.

| Says offer has been made, doesn't say it's been accepted. Also doesn't say when the offer was made. Could be that we've signed someone since that offer.
Wait and see as always. I haven't seen any NRL in recent years, but from what I remember, Walker was pretty handy.

| Never rated him. Can't say i'm thrilled if this signing comes off.
Probably better than what we have though. Think we need another centre more.. and a half but we all know this.

we wouldnt be able to have all of them. nero is overseas trained. semi would count as fed trained. hall,l'estrange and menzies already confirmed leaving 2 places for kearney, millard, walker. learney sounds like a done deal tbh. Out of other two I'd prefer millard, but sounds like wakey have snuck in their. Given lack of quality haves available walker could be a decent shout. IT doesnt necessarily mean semi is leaving, we could be getting walker to play on sheriffes wing giving rikki a further yaer to develop with a view to taking over from semi in 2011. If semi does leave then I cant see where a quality winger is going to come from who doesnt require a quota spot tbh.
big problem with walker would be whether he would get a visa and is he too injury prone. Seems to have a bit of a problem with the alcohol and missed a lot of game time injured. hasnt really done anything since 2001-2002 season

Oh and just to further take the wind out of BSC's sails [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Walker_(rugby_league)Chris Walker's Wiki entry[/url
Interesting bit at the bottom of that mind.
[iIn 2009 he attracted interest from European Super League clubs, but said he did not want to play in Europe and he would prefer to stay in the NRL with a Queensland team[/i
Think maybe he's another NRL player using a move to us as a bargaining chip to get some extra cash on a new contract?

| Gut feeling is there isn't much mileage in this one..
That probably means we're about to sign him though! I think we have much a few more area's to strengthen before using a quota spot on a winger. I'd be disappointed if we didn't resign Semi after him stating he wanted to remain at the club.

| Well given his previous record a visa does look unlikely.
Seems if you want to come play SL you need a spotless record

Quite. He's had plenty of troubles in the past. Do we think that he'd be a good signing at this stage of his career, even if he got a visa?
I'm far from convinced.

Fullback must be the new second row.

Walker will join a growing list of off-contract NRL players headed to England in 2010 with Brett Delaney, Greg Eastwood (both Leeds), Daryl Millard (Wakefield), Brett Kearney (Bradford), David Fa’alogo (Huddersfield), Craig Fitzgibbon and Mark O’Meley (both Hull) among those departing.

| why would that dumbass coach of yours use an overseas spot on a winger for gods sake, when you have enough quality players who can play there already ! he ought to be looking at a scrum half or stand off overseas.
he really does not have a clue does he.....

Such as?
Tadulala.
Well, that's one.
If you count Halley, I suppose it's two, but he's busy playing fullback.

| We should saty well clear of this Walker guy, he seems to much of a trouble maker, and obviously is only in it for the money. I was looking forward to us getting Daryl Millard, most Bulldogs fans seem to think he has already signed for us.

| Walker is according to the Aussie papers a reformed character after overcoming problems with alcoholism and the stuff that comes with it.
Whether he is or not I'm not sure he's worth 100k when we have more pressing needs in the centres and halfbacks.

| I thought Milllard looked a class act and I am a little disappointed that it looks like he is headed to Wakefield. The only thing that would offset the blow would be if we have recruited a good halfback.
Using the quota spots on a winger and a FB isn't in my opinion the best use of the quota spots. When and how will our weak area's at halfback and centre be addressed?

I think that the report was $100k Aus, which is significantly less.
