Are we going to get it right?

Are we going to improve, surley we can't have a season as bad as this one, we must have bottomed out now.

I remember a lot of Leeds Utd fans thinking the exact thing after relegation to the Championship.

Unfortunately it can always get that little bit worse.

I really can't see a major improvement without some real class coming in the halves. Even then though you can't guarantee success signings.

To be honest i don't think we can improve a great deal under Mcnarama. He's shown little to prove he makes good signings and really gets the best out of the team.

I would however be suprised if next year was as bad as this. Be more suprised if Macca was still in charge if next year was as bad as this.

Is Hood going to say anything if we don't make playoffs to appease the fans?

I think it's going to be another difficult season, HB's will probs be same or weaker and the pack will definatley be weaker with the loss of Newton.

you cant say the pack will be weaker, you dont know what Hall and L'Estrange are going to be like, plus the youngsters we are bringing through, one of them might be a stand out next season and get starting spot every week. Plus theres still rumours of Ben Westwood coming over from Warrington.

I gotta say, with Morrison and most likely Solomona and Cook leaving, I'd be very happy with Westwood coming our way. Especially if it means playing Burgess and Hall more as props in rotation with Lynch and Scruton.

Imagine a pack of Hall, Lynch, Scruton & Burgess as rotating props, Langley, Menzies, Westwood as back rowers, L'Estrange & Wagga at dummy half, with Donaldson, Whitehead and Kopczak as backup/rotations. And that's ignoring Worrincy, which I'm happy to do. I'd certainly be happy with that, then it's a matter of sorting out the backs issue.

Not on this years form we won't, particularly the 2nd half of this year. Patchy at best.

It feels a little hollow guessing what our squad next season might achieve and indeed saying they look good on paper. Its been self-evident that regardless of the talent we sign, their abilities can not be harnassed effectively.

So it seems altogether more pertinent to ask whether the perfectly top 8 squad we have assembled next year can be man-managed to their potential. Have we seen anything to suggest that this might be the case?
