Indeed, had we not been caned on the "technical penalties" front we'd be top.
The "Technical Penalties" intrigues me since our total stands out like a sore thumb compared with other teams in the top half of the table . Any ideas why? Can't be the officials... Makes you wonder where we might have been now in the SL table had we conceded a few less of these and maybe leaked a few less points as a result?
But as for everything else...seems we are the best-behaved team in the competition. I suspect though that most on here would have preferred us to have been higher up the table that counts at the expense of a few more naughty antics on the field?

| Do you still get bathroom vouchers?
I think if we win we should spend it all on bog roll and have a mock ticker-tape parade at the last home game.

I'm sure some will argue that a prize of a load of toilets would be quite appropriate in the circumstances...?! ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif)

| The technical penalties drive me potty. Most of the time they're conceded around the ruck and are the result of us trying to slow things down but getting it wrong. Plenty of times it's due to our defenders not rolling away or getting off the tackled player, the worst come after we've turned over possession and then hold down too long in an effort to allow the defence to get set.
More often is the long standing problem of our defence at the ruck. If we're faced with a side that has a quick play the ball we often struggle to contain them. I really think we could improve our technique and body position so we dominate the collision and the wrestle on the ground, that would mean we controlled the ruck and weren't so often penalised for not rolling away. Saints are superb at the ruck in attack and defence and always have been, time we looked at their technique and maybe brought in some specialists to help our players if we haven't already.
If we improved our technique we'd be on the back foot far less and our defenders would have more time. We give far too many cheap yards away from technical penalties and they're avoidable with some specialist coaching.

| Agree totally with that. Frustrates the hell out of me that we so often seem to be undisciplined and lethargic clearing the ruck and setting the markers. Sick of keep seeing us flapping while the opposition makes yet another dart from dummy half leaving our "markers" often facing the wrong way, out of position and looking bemused. I timed Leeds once round the ruck - they seemed to time their actions to the millisecond.

| It's an area we've been sloppy in for some time. When you combine that with the defence down the right side it's easy to see why we concede so many points.

| The Bulls basic problem is that the players dont have condfidence in the blokes around them. They lie on at the PTB because they dont believe their teammates will get back into the defense line quickly enough. They jump out of the defensive line because they dont trust the guy next to them to make a tackle.
If you watch the eyes of the Leeds players in defense they are nearly always focused on their defensive assignment, the Bulls are busy looking around to see what everyone else is doing.

Part of that lack of confidence is I think well founded. We have quite a few weak defenders, we all know who they are and the opposition will target them.

| If we do win the toilets, maybe there won't be quite as much s**t on the field next year.

Too late the club have already spent £450K installing a new facilities
Best toilets in the league though, I hear we have the capacity for 20 simultaneous Solomona size flushes at any given moment. Shame hes no longer with us ![Smile icon_smile.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_smile.gif)
