Out of the grounds that are by-the-book "good" in terms of facilities etc, which ones are you really not that keen on visiting?

Are there any you feel while being excellent works of sculpture, fail to live upto in terms of atmosphere and likeability?

Which of the so called next generation grounds just dont float your boat?

For example, I would much rather watch a game of rugby at the jungle than either the Galpharm or KC

I don't realliy like going to the KC. Simply because I can never find anywhere to park, and out of my own stupidity I always drive to Arco thinking that it's the ground!! But on the plaus side I can always stay at my parents caravan in Hornsea.

Er...I asked him the question! I was just curious why he has posted a whole raft of (generally sensible and intelligent) questions on a diverse range of subjects across various boards? I replied on one of his very first question threads yesterday - about going to live in Cairns for six months - and I'm intrigued why he's starting all these threads!

And to demonstrate that it was a genuine question - in answer to the OP:

Of the big ones, I don't the JJB (or whatever it is called now) that much and I'm not that fussed on the Galpharm (to me always the McAlpine) - too big and soul-less for most matches IMO.

I quite like the KC, cos being fully-enclosed it seems to have far more atmosphere and seems much less like four sheds around a pitch.

We love going to Huddersfield, but its little to do with rattling around in the McGalpharm.
We park for free in the grounds of a local Bowling Club about 400mts from the stadium. The bar is cheap and good beer and the staff are unbelievably welcoming. Its a gem.

Is that the Gas Club?

I presonally find all the new grounds soulless and devoid of any character. The worst one for this is the JJB which is no different to the other purpose built pre fab units on the retail park next door.

The Galpharm is an architectural master piece but it's got no atmosphere.

The Teley's stadium is quite good though.

The best is warrington, and what that has over the others is the fact that it is a rugby league stadium and there are standing areas. I dont like HUll, but that's more to do with the people in and around the ground and thats the same reason i didnt really like the boulevard. Hudds holds many good memories asa bulls and GB fan, and Wigan is ok.

I like Huddersfield, i've been loads for bulls and test matches but Castleford ground has a good atmosphere but is not a nice ground and if they get a new grounf it will be much better for Cas but my favourite ground is the KC it's compact and a really good atmosphere and people are very nice but the worst grounds are odsal where i go every week and a grave yard has more atmosphere than oddsal and wakey and celtic are bad grounds too.

Depends if your disabled or not.

For w/c users worst are (and not alot in it) Saints, Wakefield, Cas and Warrington and HKR (as your at the front and everyone walks in front of you), Headingley as you are with Whino's supporters.

Best Hull, Wigan, good old Salford, Huddersfield and Bradford

London good up to last year, this year rubbish as the same problem as Catalan barrier in front of you is at eye level if you sit in a wheelchair.

I like the Halliwell Jones because it usually has a good atmosphere despite being full of Wires.

Never particularly liked the JJB/DW stadium, too big and a pain in the ass to get away from.

I find the walk home pretty pleasant!
