Not much in the way of information about the ticket, but a good bit of marketing for 3 games that are likely to be among our lowest crowds of the season

Not sure it's enough to entice people back but fair play for trying something. Hopefully they'll give some out in schools too.

It's not a bad idea really.

It's a bit of a saving if you turn up to the three games, but not too much that it upsets the season ticket holders who don't like non-ST holders getting free games.

And let's be honest, they need to do something or the crowds for these games are gonna be terrible.


Agree with BB though, this is the perfect time for a free tickets for schools drive.

Remarkably positive this. Why not do it all season long next year so that people who can't afford a season ticket can buy in bulk when they've got a bit of cash spare?

Also agree that free tickets for schools should be given out left, right and centre right now - it's not exactly going to do any harm is it?

only problem with that is schools have now finished for summer so it'll be a bit difficuly distributing any free tickets.

There's loads of playschemes and holiday club type things going. Tickets could be given out there.

As for the 3 for £40, ita decent enough offer - a saving of £11 over the three. Not too shady.

Unfortunately, I've got something on this coming Sunday that means I might have to miss out, otherwise I'd certainly bite

Spot the ones who don't have kids

When I was a kid the Bulls did a roadshow around local amateur clubs, it was great. They gave free season tickets to juniors, brought some players and the cheerleaders. I remember it generated massive interest between my mates and I. Some of the lads weren't Bulls fans, but being young and impressionable they switched alliegences, and are still fans to this day.

Something like this would, I believe bring fans through the gates. My mates and I went along with our parents, so even though us kids got in for free the club were making money.

I think they already do a reduced price ticket offer after the first three (?) or so games and again at about the halfway mark, but yes it`s a good idea to have a `season` ticket for a gradually reducing price as the matches are ticked off. What can there possibly be to lose?

I hope there is something similar for next year. I have a season ticket this year but for next season it depends on work co-inciding with the fixture list. I hope there is a similar 'mini season ticket' for people who can't get a full one.

Also, why not go a bit further and let anyone under 16 in for, say, £2.

Take a tenner off kids tickets? To be fair then you'd have to reduce the adult tickets to £7

I remember they used to do a take a mate ticket for season ticket holders. usually for low gate games. Don't see why, especially now that we've 3 such games instead of one, that the club don't bring this back. A few more people in the ground, even for free would likely bring in some cash from the bars and food stands.

Also, those extra fans would help bump up the seasonal average, just thinking about the francise there

Well, yeah but I doubt whether most of the floating people would attend otherwise. I would be slightly miffed if the ground was full of people paying a fiver after I have shelled out for a ST....but I think it would be preferable to a 6K crowd with as much atmosphere as a library....that is, if we ever attain such a heady atmosphere!!!

Has anyone seen/heard this advertised anywhere else than on the Bulls website? Preaching to the converted a bit there.

They should get some adverts on the Pulse, some posters up, etc. People are not going to take the offer up if they don't know about it.

Smart move. Free tickets for local charities and kids stuff aswell the more kids that get free tickets the more paying adults get talked into coming.

No, of course not, but I would hazard a guess that the vast majority of people who visit it are season ticket holders. Why not try and get some new people interested too?

Some of the Bulls first team squad have been into my school twice this year, they take part in an assembly and then all the kids get a ticket voucher for the Bulls. So they are doing this, its back on their list of priorities now I believe, something that disappeared under Noble.

Cost I would think.

It cost them nothing to put it on their own website. I don't know whether they have the budget for billboards, radio ads and the like.

Anyone with any interest in the Bulls will probably visit the website, then you've got word of mouth on the back of that.

As I said, I take you point and it would be nice, but the outlay on such advertisment probably wouldn't recoup that bigger pay back.
