Given the squad of players Bradford have, there's no way they should be where they are in the league, and it's surely gone way past the point of being an embarrassment! It's becoming more and more obvious week after week that Macnamara is way out of his depth, and simply not the right person to move the club forward. His "finding positives" comments week in week out just make him look stupid and seemingly oblivious to reality. Now that chances of making the play offs are surely gone, you have nothing to lose by getting rid now, getting someone new in and starting planning for 2010 now. Unless of course you can't afford to sack him? Surely he's not on THAT much and money can't be THAT tight?

Sorry how many times as our great leader made a quote that he doesn't what's going on and he doesn't know how to fix it. If that's not being clueless I don't have any idea what else it can be.

Maybe not, but it is more accurate than describing him as 'the best young coach in britain'. I see his quotes are highlighting the positives from the game today as usual. The only positive thing that the guy can do is resign straight away because he is now beginning to disgrace us.

Maybe an unfortunate choice of words? Let's say the table doesn't lie, year on year under SM we have got worse while he insists he has strengthened the team and we will learn from our (or his mistakes). No signs of any improvement under him or his assistants would suggest questionable leadership and coaching skills. Neither he or his team has learnt anything from the previous seasons and the resent results would not suggest any reason to be optomistic for the rest of this season or next season for that matter.

Odd, because that's unreasonable given your previous reply. But when reason gives out you can always rely on power, it's the last resort but it works as you're managing to demonstrate.

Yep. I also appreciate what you do and the job of moderation, nor have I any mandate to defend Eddie. However I just think it's interesting that you take such a proactive role in damping criticism, which may be born out of justifiable frustration and anger. Just because it's not articulated in a way you approve of doesn't mean it's unreasonable.

Plenty of people have criticised McNamara's coaching without making it personal, and their posts remain undampened.

I remember way back in 1976 I was a young moderator, wet behind the ears and went absolutely loony with a Leeds fan (essentially a troll suckered me in). AF took me gently to one side, sun glinting upon his grey beard and said "Shaggy my old bud, settle down a bit and you'll make a great mod".

Needless to say I did both calm down AND make a fantastic moderator. More importantly, as AF invented the internet he's better equipped than most to moderate it.

To be 100% truthful I'm just an alias of AF anyway, invented to lend moral support when he's starting to lose respect. In some respects it's like Fight Club.
