I'm considering coming up with a friend for the Wigan match next week, and was wondering roughly how much it'll cost for the two of us to get from the Station to the stadium and back by bus.

I don't use the route but I'd be surprised if you could do it cheaper than buying a FirstDay Family ticket - £5.50 and it will get you both there and back.

So unless an adult single is less than £1.38, which I doubt, get one of those.

And you can also ride about on maybe a mega pub crawl, all day and all night, for nowt extra.

Are Dayrovers valid all the way from Germany? That is good value.

If it's the interchange walk up the escalators to the bus bit.

There are loads of buses in that direction. The Halifax and Huddersfield buses run up Manchester road to Odsal top pretty regular. Don't catch the X6 though as it's limited stop and if you miss the stop nearest Odsal you'll end up in Wyke.

622 AND 363 are the routes you want.

Thanks for the help folks, but unfortunately we won't be able to make it up, as the trains back mean my friend won't be able to catch a tram or bus home in Sheffield.

Hopefully i'll be coming next year though.
