The nightmare continues.

On that night in october 2005, who would have thought just 4 years later bulls would be 3rd bottom and leeds back back title winners?

Its not a distant dream, its still a realistic possibility, but even the most optimistic of us (af aside!) are beginning to lose hope now. I just can't see anything changing, not enough changing anyway to win 7 out of the 9 remaining games. 3 or 4 yes, but 7?

It's gone from being a realistic shot to closer to a Sheffield '98 punt. Odds would be helpful as a rough guide but no idea where to like.

Bookies dont think we'll do it, odds on to be in bottom 6, but they wont offer huge odds on us making it in case we do....no such thing as a poor bookmaker. You can get us to win the grand final at 66-1, same odds as quins....but I think I'll keep my cash in my pocket on that one.

Cheers mate. "Where to like", I'm cracking up. 9/4 shows that they haven't totally written off. Bookies never like to do themselves out of money, and if we really were utter no-hopers they'd shift the odds to attract a few punts, wouldn't they?

No worries, yes they would shift them out, so they haven't written us off yet as a gamble but its unlikely enough that I'd be looking at the 1/3 for the bottom 6 as the value bet there unfortunatly

Is a place in the play off still something worth dreaming of? Wouldnt 8th place followed by an early exit be more of a nightmare?

It does seem that the extended play off system simply allows more clubs the chance to delude themselves that their season isnt necessarily a disaster.

Yes, I'm kind of thinking the same. It would just prolong the agony for a week or two. I suppose, you just never know what will happen in one off games. But unfortunately, I think we do know what will happen.

I don't have a problem with him saying things in the media as it is, after all, part of his job.
