| I see the Bulls will only have four overseas players in their squad this weekend, this must be one of the lowest overseas representatives since the advent of Super League? I am sure someone will be able to quote a lower figure, but off hand I cannot think of any.

| Its not that low considering Clubs are supposed to only have 8 overseas players, and some will be invariabley injured. Cas will only have 5 overseas players on saturday.

Toward the end of SL 1 we had Bradley, Robbie, Tomlinson & Donougher. Did we have anyone else from overseas that I'm forgetting (after Hassan and maybe one or two other transitional players had moved on)? Had Reihana joined by then? If not, surely there must have been a time when one or more of the 4 was injured / unavailable / not selected.

Indeed 5 normally is regarded as a larger number 4 The point i was making is that those sorts of numbers are quite common
ie last week-
kr-5
leeds-5
quins-4
cas-5
saints-5

| I was meaning just the Bulls, as they have always since the advent of super league been seen as a major player. Quite a number of clubs were never able to spend the full cap, and so never had many overseas players.

In reality though many of the clubs who werent/arent spending the full cap have had more overseas players as they dont have the financial clout to sign the top english players ie wakey having 16 out of the 17 players in the team from overseas at the end of 2006.

So what if Bradford are only playing 4 O/S players this weekend. The English lads are in the squad on exactly the same merit. If we get hammered by Leeds the fans won't make the excuse of "only 4 overseas players". And likewise if we win. It won't be "a victory with only 4 overseas players on the pitch".

| I don't think anyone is blaming lack of overseas players for a win or loss, in actual fact it is good to see the club utilising and developing local talent
