I know this has been mentioned before, but how many people would like to see him back at the club? It seems more and more likely that he'll be leaving Wigan, and although he has never really hit good form since his Bradford days, playing with our more dominant pack may build his confidence up and get him back. Obviously we would have to talk seriously about a much lower chunk than he's on currently, but still what do you think.

No. If he was on a significantly lower percentage of the cap space, really had a desire to play for Bradford, found some more consistant form, and was out of contract anytime soon then, possibly maybe.

But I dont think any of that is true and we should be developing our youngsters and looking forward. Any outside signing of a prop should be an impact type prop more in the vagana/feka type mould IMO.

Put me down for a maybe. If we could get on the right terms, ie reasonably cheap then I think given the right motivation he could do a job as an impact prop for us.

Cant see him as an impact prop (first up) he was rarely that with us and certainly not for the last few years at Wigan.
Best to look elsewhere for a genuine impacyt prop.

I don't think you're at all in the minority, I think you're dead right, confidence, self-belief, mojo - cal it what you want, he has lost it. It would be great to think that he could get it back, but there's a saying, "never look back".

He's shown no signs since before he left us of the player he once was and this would be a huge risk, unless he came as a workaday squad member and was paid accordingly but I'd still rather we got on with promoting the youngsters, by a distance.

Definitely NO, apparently the try he scored against Wakefield at the weekend was his 3rd try for Wigan. Definitely not what we need.

Brad need play like Stu Fielden in team

If Lynch isn't extending his contract it would leave us inexperienced up front and, whatever his form at Wigan, Fielden has been there, seen and done it all. It would very much depend on wages for me as at the right price and if he could regain some form he could do a job.

Lots of ifs I know.

I have stated before that whilst his best days are behind him, he is still a decent SL Prop. I wouldn't sign him to lead a pack, but if we needed a 4th choice Prop next year then at the right price (average SL Prop salary) then yeah I would take him back.

That's not to say he would be my first choice of Props available for next year though. There is of course the fair argument of giving some of the younger guy's a chance to establish themselves too though. Has Crossley been tearing up tree's trying to earn his place in the side?

Thats all perfectly reasonable if you ask me, one of the issues I have with this story being dragged back up occationally is that Fielden is contracted to Wigan for next year. So we'd need to pay a fee - not gonna happen, or wait another year, when he'll be 31 - thus making any form/confidence issues currently redundant. I'll wait for the poll on Fielden to Bulls June 2010!

They could release him from his final year, unlikely after what they paid for him, but stranger things have happened
