We -The Rochdale Swarm Tag Rugby League Club- are hosting an International Mixed Tag Rugby League Festival in Rochdale on Saturday the 30th of May.

There are teams from Ireland, Scotland, Wales and a Fiji Representative side as well as sides from across England inc. Coventry, York, Leeds, Bradford, Widnes and of course Rochdale.

The standard is very much aimed at social players, and those unable or unwilling to play contact Rugby.

The competition is 7-a-side of which 2 must be of the opposite sex i.e. 2 women 5 Men or 3 men 4 women etc.

Teams can camp at the venue on the Friday before the festival and the Saturday post event.

The cost is £60 per team maximum squad size of 12.

Post match food for players, referees and support staff.

A second nights camping pitch.

As well as all this we have hired extra mobile shower facilities and extra porta-loos for the event. We have arranged with St Johns ambulance to provide medical cover, and we are producing an official souvenir programme for the Festival.

The new Hornets Rugby League Club mascot, Hercules the Hornet is coming down.
And we have a very special guest in the head of OZTAG (Tag Rugby in Australia) Mr Kurt Wrigley coming over to see us.

All in all for £5 a head a bargain!

We play in Morley, so i guess you could say yes.

But we have supporters from Hunslet, Bradford, Leeds & Halifax to name a few who play in the team.
