I'd miss the enterprising, attacking rugby which we now play and is a joy to watch, unlike what went before.

The stuff people keep talking about whenever Noble comes up in threads about our current coaching set-up.
It's so dazzling I can't even see it.

| I'd happily have Matthew Elliott back or bring Phil Veivers in from Wigan he's the man who should have got the job before McNamara in the first place.

Ah, your sarcasm is cutting, Asim.
I agree, this "expansive entertaining style is truly amazing"
It wins us big games and everything.

| Although I don't think he's a good manager you have to admit it's a transition period with the squad for Steve. Your lack of speed accross the park stems from Nobles gameplan of buying the biggest players and bashing teams off the park. Steve wants to add more flair to the team but that won't happen over night. Lack of funds to add into the mix??
Either way I loved the way Bradford played tonight

Maybe, but he already had a champion side when he took over, granted he did take them to knew hights. He fluffed it at Wigan.

I think his problem at Wigan was that he tried to change things too quickly. If he came here he wouldn't have that problem as we have all the makings of a good team but just don't have any leadership at the moment.

Quite possibly he did, but what are the chances he will wnt to change things here?
Do you think one of the problems with McNamara is that he is trying to force a style that the Bulls are not used to? And one that has never worked for us?
We are good at hard tactics
Lets face it, we are a powerhouse team with power house players, and also lets face it, when we get it going, we are bloody good at playing like that arnt we?

Grrrrrrr, Im so frustrated right now.
He seems to have very limited amount of tactical knowledge. He also doesn't seem to have any fire in him. Youre dead on, there is no game plan, or no basic structure, we are just hitting it up either one from the ruck or just passing it straight along the line and not direct.
Ive also thought we look extremley unfit. I dont know what Clawson is having them doing but its certainley not training hard enough. Ill be honest though, Ive thought always sinse Clawson came in and Jennings left that we lost that pysical edge over the rest of the teams.

| It might mean something, it might mean nothing - but I thought even the respective warm-up's tonight spoke volumes, Leeds' seemed a lot more intensive than ours did.
Conversely, in the past, I often thought we were putting too much into them - I can see now what tactic has the better lasting effect.

| I think the entire coaching set up is well under par. The principles that Brian Smith instigated into the Bulls seem to have gone through the window.

Quote ="redeverready"That's more down to the level of club he's [Elliot at.'" What level is that then? The NRL is a far more even competition than SL, with most of the clubs spending up towards the salary cap limit. Clubs rise and fall on a season-to-season basis, depending on how well their recruitment and/or training goes.
It could be argued that Canberra deteriorated from 2003 onwards... And Penrith (despite having a host of internationals and Origin players - Priddis, Lewis, Rooney, Pritchard, Puletua, Waterhouse, Wesser, Gower & Clinton) managed to win the wooden spoon in Elliot's first season in charge.

I'd forgot about John Lang. IMO the club missed a trick in not appointing John Kear as McNamara's assistant before he took the Wakey job i think we would be in a whole lot better state if McNamara had a more experienced assistant.

To true.
A major obstacle is the fact that Macca has no decent imput from respected Assitants. Instead, weve got a chap who struggled along coaching an amateur side in Bradford and a low grade coach from Hudds Giants academy.
Why? have they gone for the cheap option?
Not good, lets get some professionalism back in the Bulls camp with some well respected names. McNamara could do a lot worse than appoint Karl Harrison as his assistant.
