| Bradford. Whether that means SL, Championship or no club at all.
I fear there is a real danger of a number of fans falling out of love with RL.

This.
Bradford or none, and if none I'll use my RL money to buy better NFL international tickets each year instead.
On the thread title, whilst I think the op info is...dubious, shall we say. I can see any continuation of Bradford RL ending up at VP sooner or later.

You probably never will - but that's not to condemn your approach. You love Rugby League and you have a much weaker affiliation to your chosen club. I love the sense of community and continuity that supporting the club of my home city and my family gives, and I have a much weaker affiliation to Rugby League. If there is no club that is in and identified with Bradford and the legacy of the club currently known as the Bulls, then there will be no club for me. As I like RL, I'll watch when I come across it on TV, but not having Sky, that effectively means a couple of times a year in the Challenge Cup in the BBC.

I wouldn't support any other club and wouldnt attend games at all (if there was no Bradford club). Probably watch state of origin but thats about it. Keep getting told I need to put more in a pension so would rather do that than give money to clubs i have no desire to support

Agree with that.
Cant see supporting anyone else as OUR team, OUR city, OUR history or OUR pride.
The camaraderie of watching a game with like minded passionate fans could not be replicated.

| If there really was no club I would:
a) Support Catalans at the grounds in Yorkshire.
or
b) Go in the away end at Headingley for selected games (i.e. the ones where they will get beat).
But there will be a club. COY???

If someone as reasonable as you makes such a statement it shows why the game is in such a precarious position. Most people who I know who profess to prefer football or (spit) yawnion, don't go regulalry, if at all. There is a huge number of armchair supporters & consequently potential speccies. Whereas most of the RL fans I know attend regularly. The game needs those passionate fans, if it lost 10,000 Bradford fans that's about 10% of the paying public every 2 weeks. It's a slippery slope back to a part time game, which I grew up on, but it will be bye bye to our better sportsmen & any chance of my lifelong ambition of seeing us stuff the Aussies.

| I started watching Rugby league because My local club, Bradford Northern played a mile from where I lived. I moved, but my allegiance stays the same. I follow Bradford City for the same reason.
I am from Bradford. IN rugby I support Bradford BUlls,
In Football I support Bradford City
IN Cricket I support Yorkshire
In Ice Hockey I support Bradford BUlldogs.
see the link?
If Bradford BUlls goes, and nothing emerges in its place. I will perhaps never pay to watch RL again!

I'd be very sad if that were the case, but I know from experience that I couldn't rekindle the motivation, let alone the passion, for RL in any other way. I used to be just as enthused about cricket, but I haven't watched it live since Park Avenue was abandoned as a county ground. I still follow it in the press, but struggle to imagine ever going to Headingley or Scarborough.
With RL, perhaps it's something to do with the background of rivalries, but I couldn't be a supporter, and probably not even an interested follower, of another Yorkshire / Lancashire club. Also, international sport doesn't do it for me. Without Bradford, the only way I think I could regularly watch a RL live and with interest (not passion) would be if I were to move to somewhere like southern France and support a local side - or perhaps even to a non-traditional part of the UK, where a new club is trying to spread the game.
I think that I do understand and respect your viewpoint, but I'm sorry I just can't share it.

I think I'm of the same opinion. Whilst I would continue to play a bit of touch and pass I just can't see me going to any games if there was no Bradford club. As for internationals I've long thought that we've no chance of beating the Aussies in my lifetime (so definitely not yours Tigs )

I guess many of us are musing on the same sort of thing. For myself I've considered watching Dudley Hill, I live less than a mile from the ground and have only been once in years, but things seem to get in the way - mostly Bulls related stuff taking up my time, to be truthful. The only no-no would be Leeds; I just couldn't do it, but Keighley, Fax or Bramley which would be my nearest (semi) pro club with no Bulls, are posibilities.
Thing is you invest an awful lot into a club; time, money and that inner bit of your soul which only another sports fanatic can understand. Time would be the easiest to find, no Bulls equals lots more spare time; simples. Money isn't [iquite[/i so simple though - it certainly costs to watch RL home and away, replica shirts, T shirts, Sky subscription, and all the rest and I have no doubts that I could easily find another home for what I currently spend on rugby and it would be quite likely that is what I'd do, mainly becasue I wouldn't have the same depth feeling for another club like I do for the Bulls. Actually I don't know why I've even bothered posting this because I don't even know what I think to be honest.
