| Surprised nobodies gone for Newlove in the centres.
I always liked Dave Watson at fullback but I think I'd have to go with Withers just because he did the business for years. I remember watching Mumby but I was too young at the time to appreciate how good he was. Likewise Hanley.

George Ambrum, Johnny Wolford and Bill Ramsay. Always favourites of mine. I would have put Bob Haigh in at LF though.

| Whilst I'm not saying people are wrong or right with these teams, I can't imagine anyone displacing Steve Menzies from a slot in the greatest Bradford 17.

It also surprises me when some people seem to be relegating Robbie to a bench role.
Since I began my RL following - a Robbie Paul in his prime was one of the Worlds best players!

| there are 3 players not mentioned the best scrum half both Bradford +Gt Britain Tommy Smales, best winger Jack McLean, and one of the great all time players who seemed to be frozen out by some of his teammates Shaun Edwards.
my selection would be
1- Keith Mumby
2- Jack McLean
3- Paul Newlove
4- Shontayne Hape
5- Les Vainikolo
6- Henry Paul
7- Tommy Smales
8- Kelvin Skerrett
9- Jimmy Lowes
10- Brendan Hill
11- Daniel Gartner
12- Karl Fairbank
13- Ellery Hanley
subs
14- Shaun Edwards
15- Keith Fielden
16- Brad McKay
17- Steve Menzies
Unfortunatly most people never saw Tommy Smales but he controlled almost every game he played with his ball skills, football brain and ability to make a break, down the years we've had some good scrum halves but I would'nt include deacs and seaborne amongst them, I did like Dean Carrol, Ken Kelly,Paul Harkin,Alan R?(brother David both GB ) the lad from hull(via Tunisia great ball player) and of course Robbie Paul.

| What are peoples thought process here. Individual talent or how they think they'll play as a team? Surprised by the Naylor shouts. Good player and don't have anything against him but I think he looked better than he was playing in a fantastic team. If Paul Sykes played centre in that team I think he would have been a big success. Naylor never really did anything with his other teams which might be more of an indication. Naylor better than Newlove or Danny peacock? Just confused, that's all.

| IMO For us Naylor was outstanding, better than Newlove was for us and probably gave us better service than Peacock although not as talented as either.

| Fair enough. If that's your thought process why isn't Radford in the side? Did a fantastic job for us and helped us win loads of trophies. Did a far better job for us than Bradley did. Bradley mainly played centre and stand off for us. Didn't do a fantastic job at loose forward.
I was just thinking ability.

Never saw Les play so I didn't put him in. Now I realise I don't think I saw Fielden play either so its Forsyth into the starters and Ramsey on the bench.
