The 'when will the coach get the message out' is one of the more irritating Stevo-isms. Although maybe those are just from the games I've watched featuring Leeds recently.

Can we also ban the word "Formica ®", because every time I hear somebody start to say it, I think they are going to say "for mine" , and by the time they get to the "ica®" bit it's too late, the damage is done

I have been engaged by Formica Limited, who wish me to draw to your attention that Formica ® is a registered trade mark, and as such must be capitalised and followed by a ®.

Capitalisation, in specific areas (as in, for instance, just when appropriate) seems to belong to a bygone era, a bit like Formica®, dare I say?

You'd think the Sky, being the professional broadcasters they are, would have some kind of review of their commentary teams, in all sports, maybe on an annual basis. Someone who listens to the tapes and thinks "this guy's getting annoying with this" and has a one to one with the culprit each year.

It's not that such as Stevo are natural speakers, far from it, and he has clearly worked hard at the job so there would be no real reason for him to take umbrage at a bit of 'coaching' from time to time.

Stevo spoke at an end of season do about 18 years ago. I was surprised, & a little disappointed, at how well he did. Seemed confident & a natural.

I'd imagine he would in that situation, an 'end of season do' and he would be in his element. He muddles his words and repeats himself far too much to be a 'natural' on TV though (for mine

He was initially encouraged by Sky to come up with the catchphrases. The trouble is that nobody at Sky seems to have realised how irritating they become after nearly 20 years.
