Yeah, i agree the ref was totally on our side, we wouldn't have won without him.

James Child literally cost us a game this season, i know what it feels like to be totally robbed, today was not one of those days for you.

Please don't take this thread as a "Bradford robbed" thread because we weren't.

Bentham or BENTham as Dennis likes to call him was poor all around for both sides, but he did give you the 50/50 calls.

And I think, to be fair, we have had our fair share of being ribbed by officials.

But agreed, today was definately not one of those days.

i arent blaming the ref for Bulls losing today, just thought he was poor. You cant tell me a super league side didnt commit a foul for about an hour which was about the gap in between our penalties at one point today

Hull were crap, Bentham was crap, we were worse. Pointless either side talking about play offs as both would lose in the first round

As a few have said, he didn't make us lose, we demonstrated that ourselves when he did give us penalties on their line, but he ruined the game as a spectacle. Hull slowed down the PTB so much , there was little opportunity to play anything exciting, we should have played to it more and wriggled in the tackle and try and play the ball quicker ourselves.

Don't think anyone is blaming him for us losing. But doesn't take away the fact he was crap. That touch judge was a joke, first the Briscoe one where he was all over Ah Van, trying to turtle him, no penalty, Ah Van pushes him (the thug) and we get penalised. The the same touch judge couldn't wait to come on to give Hull another penalty when we had the ball (for what i dont' know). Then he gave us 3 penalties on the bounce (that won't penalties) to even it up.

Hull were lying on all game (as were Bradford). Bentham doesn't think it's lying on, then decides it is 3 sets on the bounce.

No way ami using the ref as an excuse or saying he was against Bradford, he was just crap

I think a lot of refs would have struggled today trying to police what were two very sloppy and undisciplined teams

Diskin complains refs are interfering in games too much. When they don't interfere you complain.

Bentham AND HIS TEAM OF OFFICIALS were poor today. but they were not responsible for our defeat. the 17 players and coaching staff were. Sure BEntham made a couple of howlers that could have influenced the game, if the BUlls were capable of keeping a hold of the ball for a set and building pressure.
I loved it when we threw the ball away after a decision went against us and it was a penalty for dissent, but in th very next set when FC did it, it wasnt. The officiating in our sport is going downhill rapidly, and we need to do something about it. The sport is getting like all in wrestling and rule changes need to be applied. also, we need one set of rules worldwide!

having said all this, if we had the quality of over seas players that HUll have in the likes of Fitzgibbon and OMeley, rather than Ah, he's dropped it again Van and " three bad things for each good" Herbert, then we would be more competitive. And before i leave out the coaches from my anger, who the hell puts safe hands Ah Van at Fullback, when both Royston and PLatt are on the field????

Well he shouldn't of flopped and then laid on for the next 5 minutes!! How many times do you see players pushing the opposition off to get a quick play the ball?

Yes it is!! Its unbelievable how biased some refs are!! And new employment!

The ref had nothing to do with why we lost. Giving penalties away whilst in possession is criminal.

However I did think he was very inconsistent at times and the PTB was awful. Seems too that the 10m rule is one to ignore 99% of the time too. Having said that it was a good job at times as Hull really dominated the collision.

How on earth Fitzgibbon got away with on one occasion running to be a 3rd marker I'll never know. I though Hull had got passession and he was taking it up first receiver he was so close to the ruck.

Bentham missed that then blew against Bradford on the next set.

At crucial points in the 2nd half Hull did seem to get consecutive penalties over nothing. Bentham missed the Briscoe flop then Tim Roby came running on like he'd seen the crime of the century. Poor show.

Saying that Bulls were very slow out of the blocks and a sharp looking Hull side made the most of some poor Bulls defence.

Bulls got themselves back into it before half time, then let a really soft score in when the ball should have been booted dead. Bulls had their chances, possession and territory. Missed chances and not completing sets cost them when Hull were there for the taking.

Late Hull score was probably a reflection of the true balance. Best side won but Bulls could have taken the spoils if they had been a bit smarter in the 2nd 40.

And all against Bradford.

Was he the one in Thunderbirds? He would make quite a good ref him.

Especially if he move like he did to rhythm is a dancer on that Drench advert

Didn't twig Platt was on pitch as well but I made the comment about Royston at the time - baffling that one. Potter said on Radio Leeds that he thought we were indisciplined and made the wrong decisions at times

Yes the PTB was pretty bad most of the time but I think its safe to say that Addy is not a hooker. Would be nice to actually see him at LF ( has he played for the first team at LF yet?)
