Well Aston was one of the three names I was told, so perhaps the guy who told me isn't as reliable as I thought. In fact when he mentioned it to me, it was Aston's name that made me think he was talking out of his posterior.

The other two names he mentioned are hardly surprises though, largely because they've already been mentioned on this thread.

Well looking back on the thread Cameron Smith, Jarryd Hayne, Willie Tonga and James Clare mentioned. Hayne and Smith it is then haha!

In all seriousness happy with Aston reliable at this level. A couple of forwards on top of the names mentioned and could there be a chance of going on a run after Hull KR?

Whilst Tonga, Clare, Gibson & Aston are improvements to the squad .......

Should make a play at Daniel Smith at Hudds. Was decent at Wakey before getting a long contract with them. Can't get a game for toffee at the minute

Are we in dire need for forwards? Margrin, Peltier, Oledzki, Davies, Sironen, Roche, Bentley, Smith, Hallas, Moore is a pretty big pack. I wouldn't say we're in more need of forwards than we are backs. For me its about getting better more experienced players than players in specific positions.

Some better forwards perhaps, but we certainly don't lack size. The pack that was named for the Fax game was a big one, albeit Roche & Peltier were lost in the first half.
Haven't seen any word yet about those two. If they're going to be injured, we start to look a little light on quality again.

Take Oledski out of that as leeds will certainly call him back and maybe Smith too. We still dont know whats happening with Moores court case and Sironen's a bit of an unknown quantity. Then we're pretty much back to set of forwards that have been getting bullied all year. So I'd certainly say we could use another experienced forward or two.

My point been if hallas has signed a two year deal, as well as Gibson and Smith somebody knows something we don't..

It would be pointless to sign them knowing in all probability we are going down next year..

If we do go down the RFL has effectively wasted two years for us as a club, and starved us of money via central funding, making us more likely to fail.

You're right - I doubt anyone at Red Hall understands the words "progressive" and "constructive".

There cant be many sports whose governing body has such a poor (if any) business model.

In fact it wont be long before American Football in the UK gets more media coverage and fans than the RFL.

The powers that be are slowly strangling our sport of its future - and I dont just mean the Bulls - 15+ years ago the Super League marketed itself very well - it could have challenged some less well followed sports.

But look at it now - how often is Super League (never mind Rugby League in general) mentioned on national tv? But upcoming sports (womens football, womens cricket, Tour de Yorkshire) now get more coverage. Good on them, and they will have a more solid business foundation due to the already established (and thriving) models of their male/french baselines but they are still marketing themselves. BKB (Bare Knuckle Boxing) could overtake RFL soon!

Some may argue that the RFL's decision to bring in Toronto is "expanding the game" but come on they tried that before and it didnt work - London Harlequins, Wales Celtic Crusaders, Gateshead, Paris St Germain, - yes Catalan are still in the SL but does their existence prove that RFL has "expanded" into France?

The RFL business model (if they have one) and their constant restructuring of the leagues/promotion/relegation is not working.

Just bulldoze Red Hall and replace the top brass with some real business men before its too late
