Of course that is assuming the Bulls do actually have a win left in them, which after today is a rash assumption, but still.

Not a chance now. With the next 3 fixtures being Wire, Wigan and Hull FC I honestly can't see us picking up anything from those games. If we play like we did today we'll be torn apart by Warrington.

Having just completed a detailed spreadsheet model of the remainder of the season factoring in: the likely weather for the remaining fixtures, the alignment of the planets, potential space time dislocation caused by solar activity, Gale kicking direct to unmarked opponents, and the refs all going to specsavers. I have concluded we will not finish in the top 8!

Sounds like a more believable spreadsheet than the one FA is using TBF.

so no, not in the 8, not even close.

The more interesting question might be can we make whatever relegation cut line the RFL/SL impose in the 2014 league for qualification into the top tier (be it 10 or 12 teams) for whatever structure we're going to have in 2015?
If they go down the 10 teams in SL1 route we could be in trouble, and end up in SL2 for 2015(or whatever nonsence they call the second tier) given we're on half cash again in potentially one of the most important super league seasons in terms of avoiding relegation.

Very good point Duckman all the other clubs will be aware how the next two years are key. So I expect the market for quality players to be very competitive. Somehow we need to find a way to build the squad in a sellers market with limited funds.

Having half as much sky money is going to be a handicap next year and could have an even worse effect if the weird "three 12s and a middle 8 confuse the fans into submission scenario" comes into force.
