No props = No chance

I understand not overplaying young talents but on a hot day we have played with Sam wood on the bench all game and used mellor for only 15 mins. We desperately need our three props back and our second row , Donaldson , Blythe and ferguson. Just hope with hull not doing too well they won't recall Pitts. Also do we think we are not risking players to keep them for the up and coming games which maybe more winnable ?

Was actually proud of the players today, total mismatch but they never gave up.

I think I just showed during the first 20 minutes, were only 3 big props away from being a decent team.

Thought Putell, Walker and Pitts did pretty well today, I'm not going to criticise anyone, every player gave everything!

With 13 games left, 8 points behind Wakefield, points difference will act as another point from safety. Impossible to survive in my eyes.

Agree people playing a lot out of position and having to play long minutes , need Manu and donno back have been in 19 man squad last few weeks but missed out

To be fair, none of the three teams realistically in with a chance of going down have won this weekend. If Wakey had won yesterday it would have been really annoying for that reason

So you should be, the players gave their all, unlike the shower pulling on a Wakefield shirt.

Play like that against Wakey & you’ll get the win, get a few more players back, it’ll be a shellacking.

Certainly lots of effort and didn't give up, so much better than I feared at the start. Need people back and the kids from down under to make an impression. Still, if we don't get all 6 points back we're doomed. Can anyone see us wining 5 more games than Wakey, Hull or Salford? Neither can I.

Well if you are talking disadvantage - neither London nor Wakey has gotten any advantage either with supposedly "easier" games is all I'm saying. In a relegation year Magic shouldn't feature at all IMO, but since we are forced to, be glad it's had absolutely zero say in the issue. Hardly worth getting wound up about.

Also it may have been 1st vs 9th on last year's results - but on last year's results we beat them twice, just not at magic.

Next two games are must win IMO. Two NRL lads and Kaufusi and possibility of Nas & Donno will beef us up next week so no excuses. Really don't think Gaskell is a full back. Get him back to 6.

FC has said after the game that there will definitely be a forward pack taken to France next week, for the first time in a couple of months, stating the season starts now.

Tbh result was a lot better than I feared before game. First 30mins we more than held our own. Was noticeable drop in performance whilst diskin was off the field. Think with additions of kaufusi,nas, baldwinson and hopefully Donaldson next week we're capable of taking points from Catalans.

As said 1st v 9th was a strange pick for a tie. However, as has been said none of the other teams we would like to drag into the fight gained anything. More worrying is that we shipped another 50 points. Whilst realising that we are not going to beat certain teams they have to learn to keep the gap down.

If we do end up being relegated how do you think our team would shape up next year, who from our current team do you think would stay?

I'd toyed with the idea of making a thread about this, but I'm not quite ready to throw the towel in on this season just yet, let's give it a month or so first

I'd expect a large percentage of the first team squad would have to go. There is probably some sort of relegation clause in their contacts.

That being said, I'd like to think that some of the squad would stay and fight to get us back in SL. E.G Danny Brough sticking with Cas when they went down.

In all honesty the question should be who will find other SL Clubs. The obvious ones who could, have gone Sctutes, Carvell, Sammutt and Bateman. Maybe add Donno , Gaskell and the invisible man possibly Kear and I`m struggling.
