As soon as Orford signed there was only ever going to be one captain.

Personally I can't see Lynch being captain, simply because he doesn't spend enough time on the pitch.
As to who is the better choice between Ox and Langley, then it has to be Ox. So unless Langers has expressed a particular interest in being skipper then for me the descision is simples.

Come to think of it, I've got a particular interest in being Bulls captain, I wonder if it will sway Macca.

There was a vacancy for someone with those qualities at Wigan recently but I hear it has been filled.

I cant see past Orford to be honest, and firmly believe the captain should be one of the playmakers.

TBH, it was my opinion that we had a similar thing to Wigan last season with Newton, Morrison, Deacon and Jeffries. It was just a shame that they all wanted to lead in different directions and the team looked lost at times

I think every other team has named their captain apart from Catalans now. Hope there's something announced soon, suppose we might wait till after Hull KR but i'd like to know who'll be leading us out. My money's on Orford after waiting this long.

Me neither. Besides that, I suspect in reality, the players know exactly who the new captain is, they're just not making it public knowledge yet.

just been watching look north on bbc1 and according to them all the sl captains for 2010 were in london today.

mr.menzies was stood there in the lineup for the bulls.
didnt think menzies was captain this year.

WWouldn't have any complaints about that but on the team picture it was Orford and Lynch (or Langley?) next to macca, I imagine Lynch or Langley will get club captain with Orford or Menzies on field captain.

Think this could be as much to do with sending Beaver to London as he is good at that sort of thing, leaving Ox up here doing some training, giving Beaver a couple days off and not rubber stamping captaincy question by sending Ox.

If Ox had been sent I would have put money on him been given the job full time - Beaver was sent and for reasons I outlined above I dont read that this makes him a certainty for captain

Brad Drew is representing Huddersfield and I think it's Damien Blanch representing Wakefield (it certainly isn't Demetriou anyway).

Neither of these are captains of their side.

While it was preferable for the captain to be there, it was actually just a player representative. One club didn't even send anyone.

Don't read anything into it.

I think a lot of their teams send injured players to these type of events.
