Technically the RFL did pay the wages for January & February, but it came from the sky money that the Bulls were entitled to anyway. The governing body held back the 360K tv money that was due to the club in February until the ownership saga had been completed, they couldn't pay it out until the adminsistrator had made a decision on which bid was to be accepted and that decsion was ratified and completed, which was expected to be a fairly quick process. But as we know that didn't quite go to plan so the Bulls never got the money and most of it is now used. But as this money would have been used to pay the wages anyway who paid it is irrelevent, it was the same money that was used.

I'd say my track record is much better than some on here that have believed everything told to them for the last few years.

So does that mean if any other club uses any of their Sky money to pay wages, the RFL are also paying their wages?

Maybe if the cash was being withheld due to the turmoil that makes it technically right, the problem with this admin and indeed the other admin is that so much of it is rumour and secrecy it is very hard to get an accurate reflection on what is really going on.
Financially from 2008 onwards the Bulls have been a basket case, to pick out anything as any kind of fact is going to be tricky.

I imagine all clubs use the Sky money to pay wages, the game is hardly rolling in cash! The only difference is the RFL usually distribute it to the clubs and they pay the employees, in this case as Bradford had entered admin they in effect payed it direct to the players & staff themselves. This meant the administrator didn't have to find money immediately for wages, just the other creditors and ensured that people got their wages on time and in full. There may just about be enough money kicking around for another months salaries, or at least part of them. But time is of the essence now and the ownership fiasco needs sorting quickly otherwise more players will have to go in the next couple of weeks to cover the outgoings.

Indeed. Of course, all the other clubs are also using their share of Bradford's money that they are trousering to part-fund their businesses, but we'll pretend they're not.

Can somebody please tell me how they know how much money the Bulls have got or haven't got,how much the RFL have given them out of the Sky money or not given them. Please show us how you have all the facts

You imagine wrong. the RFL cannot, and will not, become an employer otherwise it would be in a TUPE position plus would have to deduct tax, NI and all the rest. Wages will be paid via the business, which the administrator is running.


Players have not gone "to cover the outgoings", if you think we have been trousering large transfer fees you are simply wrong. Players have gone because those players judged it in their personal best interests.

Facts have been a financial scarcity for a number of years yet you have been willing to believe them.
Now people are challenging that in light of some pretty big evidence (2 admins etc) you get all shirty and demand hard evidence!!

the club is worth more as a going concern, the administrator can only run the club if he has funds. So the central funds that are due to Bradford are given to the administrator along with all revenue generated from games. Suppliers of services and refreshments etc etc will want paying up front before they offer their services if the money runs out before the club is bought that is when it gets really ugly (and it's bad enough now for the supporters and those who work for Bradford....you would not wish this scenario on your worst enemy)

First hence the words 'in effect'. The RFL witheld general distribution of sky monies, only transferring an amount over to the adminsistrator to cover the wages. This was done and passed on to the staff within the same day. An exact amount in and out within a matter of hours carried out on two occaisions.

Secondly you have received transfer fees which will go/have gone towards running costs, whether they are 'massive' or not is irrelevent. This also has the effect of cutting down the upcoming wage bill. Yes the players couldn't be forced to leave and have gone because it is in their and their families best interests. But the fact remains that the administrator needs funds to run ther business whilst a buyer is found and the more he can raise and the less it costs to keep the business ticking over as a going concern the better. Hence if he deems it necessary he will sell players to raise whatever funds he can from the sale and cut the running cost by shedding their wage until he can cut no further.

You tend to find when employees are upset, worried, angry they tend to talk quite openly about the situation and seek out advice. And right now and understandably the Bulls have some staff that fit all those descriptions.

Yes they could, the administrator is not bound to keep anyone on. It would just be harder to run a RL club as a going concern if he let all the players go.

I wish some of those who post on here could run the club - with their vast knowledge of what is going on they would prove invaluable. Well, in effect they would prove invaluable..
