If we signed Millard though, that surely only leaves 1 more quota spot? I'd ideally like to see at least 1 and hopefully two genuine halfbacks brought in. I'd settle for 1 if they were top quality. If we signed Kearney it is perhaps doubtful we will address our weakness at halfback.

Yeah thats a good point there, I would rather have a quality half than an injury prone fullback.

I think that is a significant improvement without sending shivers down the opposition! RHS wing is still weak/a gamble and we are perhaps gambling again at 6. Forwards look strong but perhaps lacking experience in the back row if we're struck by injuries.

given the highlighted players coming in and morrison,newton,solomona,tupou,jeffries,cook,james going out then I'd suspect we still might be able to squeeze another uk player under the cap to address the weakness on the wing and also give us a bit more cover in backs, probably not a top player but someone along the lines of calderwood/reardon would give us some options. Plus cant see likes of platt and deacon being happy on sidelines so we maybe able to come to an agreement to sell them both on.

I assumed we were offering Deacon and Platt as part of the deal to bring Brough to Odsal?

They can have Platt, Sheriffe, Deacon, Langley and Kopzcak for Brough.

I wouldn't give Langley and Kopzcak away.

We should be able to easily fit another quality player in with that.

Don't forget about contract upgrades for Halley and Lynch.

Lynch won't be on much more than he was before, I suspect Halley will be on a bit more, but not a great deal.

Yeah me too apart from Brough and we do not even know if he is available. Also I'm not too sure there are many good halves available over in Oz (Orford and Lockyer, but cant think of many more), it maybe that there are none available so other areas are going to be strengthened. Just because we need some new halves doesnt mean we can deffo get them, they have to be OOC and want to come.
