so when it comes to restructure I would say everyone hates the current format if you are a top SL team or at the bottom of the pile...
So something will have to change.

Plus Toronto would also vote for franchise I would say, all of a sudden it seems like it could happen at the meeting next month.

I did a bit of poking around and found Mr Chalmers Bulls email address (or so it seems) and sent him an email pretty much saying what you have above. I don't expect to hear anything back though, however if I should I'll post it on here.

If all these CH clubs want to keep a Bulls payday they'd better play ball and let us win a few to keep the fans interested.

Precisely. 10 from 16???. We're not even close to looking like getting 6 from 16. When we're so short of depth and talent that we line up with a left edge of maccani, halafiifi and leon like on sun and drop as much ball and consistently lose the collision we are nowhere, and I mean nowhere close to winning. It's not like we've just been edged out of games by the luck of the bounce, we're getting smashed. If the owners didn't have the funds or ability to put out a competitive team then I'd rather than hadn't bothered and we could have restarted in league 1 like we all said and rebuilt from scratch with an air of clean slate optimism, instead it looks like we will be in league 1 but on a real downer after hemorrhaging fans for another 12 months. Worse than Pointless, unnecessary and potentially fatal to our long term prospects. The only silver lining for me form the last month is bet365 clearly have no idea about the depth of our current plight and I've covered the entry fee by backing the last 4 teams to play us to beat the handicap..

Going by what Ralph Rimmer said in League Express last week, the tv agreement is for two divisions of 12 and any changes this year won't change that but will be minor tweaks.

So we now have to win 10 games from 16 in order to survive. Given that we have HKR twice, Fev once and Halifax once then, in effect, it's 10 wins from 12 if 18 points is indeed enough to survive.

Going to have to rediscover the pre Easter form and keep it up right to the end of the season.

Interesting to listen on Mick's interview to Chalmers say there is no plan B for if we go down. He wouldn't be drawn on franchising either as you'd expect.

I always hated the sayings that x league needs a strong x club but in the Championship we certainly need Bradford simply for the money. I know theres a number of Fax fans that will take great delight in Bradfords impending relegation but I know for certain that our directors are worried about the shortfall in money that it would create. Given points totals though it does look like a bridge too far at the moment though. Good luck.

I've been patient for long enough. Trotting out the "be patient more" line is just fobbing people off. My patience has run out. I give Mick plenty of crap on here, but credit to him for trying to get answers there. Unfortunately Chalmers doesn't seem to want to really give any, and just gives the usual soundbites that mean absolutely nothing.

All I heard in the interview was platitudes, we need specifics - are they doing all they can with 50p or £3m? Looking at the lack of genuine rebuilding going on, off and on the pitch it would appear to be the former. So be honest with us and manage our expectations better, the lack of any honest communication is the problem here.

No mention of when we might have a full time coach, why the owners haven't deposited enough money in a bank account to be a functioning business, what is the short, medium and long term business plan - is it predicated upon RFL central funding or is AC serious about long term capital investment into all aspects of the club?

I could just go on and on about so many basics.

To be fair on one thing though, I don't think they can be so specific as to mention the amount they have available, if they actually have anything at all, that is. To say you have [in[/i£million available just risks putting the price up, but they could say that they have resources to bring (say) a couple of players in - and that tells us a reasonable amount.

All kudos to Mick for getting the interview for us..but really it was merely whispers following the long silences.

With The two new signings, one of which includes a contract for next year, as well as Lee Smith's 3 year contract are we seeing the green shoots or recovery?

With the quality of the two recent signing I would say there may be something to be optimistic about for the future!

I don't think we can base anything regarding our future just from player contracts.
We've seen countless times before that the contracts players sign aren't really worth much. They can be full of all sorts of clauses that make it impossible to tell one way or the other.

Only 5 days until that meeting anyway...

Two commas are never used together in a list, the convention is that one comma separates list items. So it should read:

the list that has two items with a missing comma.

And you wouldn't think being better than you at grammar is all too diffiicult. (avoid double negatives is another tip, Kirkchops).

As it's after a full stop, the avoid in your brackets should have a capital A.
