O'Brien looked good when he came on. Franny was on Radio Leeds a little after the game and pretty much said he'd had to tell Adam that he was good enough for the first team now, but since we have Heath & Disko, he's just a little behind those two at the moment. Just to bide his time, and he'll get his chance when one of those is missing, and when one of them has gone.

I suspect Disko will retire at the end of this season and Heath & O'Brien will be the combo for next year. In the meantime, O'Brien gets a few games here and there, and plays for Dewsbury to get first team experience in the meantime.

As long as O'Brien is happy with that (and a 5 year deal last year suggests he is), it'll work out very well I think.

Terrific performance from our boys from 1 to 17. Admittedly Huddersfield didn't really turn up. Big Eorl was his usual barnstorming self and Robinson had a few good moments (that pass for thier first try was a good one) but other than that I thought they were poor and we were pretty ruthless in taking advantage. Particularly impressed with Adam O'Brien, deserved his try which was very Jimmy Lowes like!

Sammut's hatrick has got to be the oddest one I've ever seen. A rebounded kick he took while on the floor, pinching it off Grix on his own try line and some sort of basketball pass to himself for his third. I sometimes wonder if even he knows what he's doing, never mind the other team's defence!

Hopefully we can carry that form into the Widnes game friday. They'll be up for it after scalping Hull on Saturday night.

Super performance from the Bulls against a first rate side who were never allowed to settle. We matched them in the pack and allowed the halves to get some quality ball which they exploited really well. Too many to pick out 'best' performances, to be honest but I'll give a special mention to Adam O'Brien on his first try which came at a point when we'd recently conceded and so it put us back on track.

Just a great effort, re Brough, everybody seems to have forgotten that we are without our main man Luke Gale, which I'd suggest pretty much evens that one up. Love the dog and the continued very obvious team spirit the Bulls have built. You could see both what the try meant to O'Brien, and what him scoring it meant to his team-mates. Franny Cummins is increasingly impressive when he speaks too, and is not under any illusions, but must have slept well on Sunday night.

Great result, particularly after last week.

I didn't make the game but listened on Radio Leeds where the commentator constantly referred to Huddersfield making 'unenforced' errors.

I always give praise to the opposition if it is due, and yesterday it was !!!

we made 18 errors i think,i would say at least half of those were unforced,you just dont win rugby games with that many errors.

Great result but let's not get too carried away with it all. Too much gloating will make us all start looking like the fans of the team we pumped yesterday.

Without being a killjoy I was hoping Wire would turn over HKR too. Be nice to start getting a cushion on teams below us.

I still believe 8 teams are fighting it out for two places and we are one of them as I fully expect Wire, Wigan, Leeds, Sts, Catalans, Huddersfield to finish in the top 8 with Hull FC strong candidates too if they can find some form.

I think that's pretty realistic.

You can never tell who might just have better than expected season, of course, and it [icould[/i just be us, but subconsciously I'm still looking at the results of the likes of HKR before such as Hudds or Leeds, simply because they seem more relevant. Have to say though that this weekend's results show that if the 'top' teams don't get their act together they'll get beaten - which is just how it should be.

The stats I have seen (Sky sports) state that the number of errors for both sides was equal!!

Admit i was wrong about Addy he was great at SH on sunday, he really needs to tackle at the legs though far to many time he bounced off by going for the upper body and Hudds gained some more metres, but so far keep it up, just hope he isnt frozen out when Gale comes back.

We are playing blindingly with : Gale, Evans, Platt, Disko, Purtell, Bateman out and a couple of others carrying knocks we can only improve when the team is up to full strength.

Hope that O'Brien is partnered with Heath at Hooker we came to life from runs from DH and O'brien had a great game.

Still wish we would have kept Ainscough, put him on against Hudds with 20 mins to go and let him run riot against them, as some where out on their feet.

Pretty sure Addy won't be frozen out. He's a quality back rower at the end of the day and there will be plenty of work available for injuries and rotations as the season progresses.

FC seems to be talking Addy up in the T&A. Good to see the coach backing his players. Addy has come in for some stick on other forums from the know-nowts.

He's far from the finished article but is still very young and although he's been around the first team for a few years he's had relatively little game time. He's often been asked to fill the playmaking role which isn't really his forte so he's had more pressure on him than most other young players coming into the side.

I'd like to see him get an extended run in the backrow in a settled side. I think we'd see him improve a fair bit. In the meantime he's doing a decent job as makeshift halfback. He deserves as much support as possible.

The thing about Addy is that you can easily see both that he is in many areas raw, (he had a mare against Saints) but also that he shows a lot of class and a lot of promise. He seems to me to have a lot more natural ability and a lot better rugby brain than most young players and I think he could given time and patience develop into quite a little gem.

Got to admit that's causing a little doubt in back of mind as to what's going on with gale. Everything seems to have gone quiet as when he's expected back. Can't help wondering if talking up our other playmaking options is a precursor to him being out longer than expected. Hopefully it's just me doing 2+2 and coming up with 5

My mate asked Gale on twitter the other day about his fitness and apparently he has a Scan on the 14th March which he is hoping will give him the all clear

Guess that means all clear to resume full training, then he needs to gain fitness and after that a couple of weeks at Dews or in the U20s, so we may be talking around the beginning of May?

It will have to Dewsbury Bulliac, we dont have the 20's now.
