tbh junior sau would have been a stonking signing...butt lulia is a fantastic player . he really has the potential to become the next shonny if not better. hes got the passion to play and sould be very very good buy for us

We need a good defender out wide in the centres as we've been pretty hopeless out there at times over the past 4 years. This bloke might give us some solidity by the sounds of it. If he can fend off the defenders and get a ball to his winger then that will do for me, he doesn't need to be that quick. As Mick said Hape was good without being quick.

He lost his spot because Gidley game back from injury, which pushed Wes Naiqama from fullback and Lulia from the side.

He had a good game, but not good enough to bench Gidley or Naiqama.

where does this leave platt, royston ad crookes and possibly ah van ?
if raynor, ainscough are resigned then its going to be a reall fight for spots

So for next year on quotas. Jeffries and Royston do NOT count on quota.

It's not about bringing in zero overseas players, players who bring something to our game e.g. The players who played in the International origin game - we had 3 of our overseas players, what about you? You brought in Ben Jefferies this year and he and Marc Herbert are occupying your halves AFAIK while promising young English players such as Kyle Briggs are shipped off. Ben Jefferies who is proven not to be good enough is brought in, so short sighted by Bradford.

But this is what we need a fight for places, and with our luck in the injury dept. it may be needed - id rather have too many players than not enough

I only put Ah van in at centre as i believe he has the power to braek tackles and draw in players to then offload to the winger, IMO he is not fast enough for the wing.

he doesnt take an overseas spot but he does take a non fed trained spot. effectively he uses up a quota spot.

you have brought in a 9 who was has been average for a number of years including over here when you have houghton. Doesn't matter how good your overseas players are if your not brining any juniors thorugh, which for some reason Hull aren't. Bradford are bringing just as many juniors through as any other club, we don't have any more overseas players than anyone else.

Will our new signing be the next Hape, or a flop. Who knows, ALL signings are gambles. I would say the signs are good as he is young, big and looks to have a superb attitude. He isn't holding a youngster back as we don't really have any youngsters coming through in that position.

Fiddle you have only one less overseas players as us?.

Difference is that we have better quality imports than you, which can be seem from the Exiles game, in which we had 3 starting.

Also we had one youngster we have brought through in the England squad.

2 players in the under 18's squad and 5 in the England under 16's team.

Hull IMO have 2 imports that are poor in Phelps and Lauaki, Obst is Ok the other 4 are top quality.

Bradford have 2 quality imports in L'Estrange and Kearney, the rest are average.

I have been impressed with some of the early signs of the Bradford youngsters, be interesting if they would get a game if all your players are fit.

One thing I do agree on is thats that Heremaia is a pointless signing for Hull, unless we release Obst.
