| Basically Lamb is in LE this week saying he would take the club on if liquidated and encourages the RFL to see that happen. He is teamed up with Damian Irvine and would look to form a supporter trust to help run the club, presumably because he hasn't got the funds. He reckons all other bids are only interested in Odsal.
Chalmers was told by administrator that his bid would have left the creditors worse off than if they liquidated (which is what I'd heard also).
So it seems that it's either the current bidder or liquidation with possible Lamb picking up the pieces and trying to get the supporters on board.

| Summary of RL Express article
1. Lamb says he and Irvine are prepared to come in if club liquidated - others only interested in Odsal not the rugby club. Not interested in buying out of admin
2. Chalmers says he and Lowe had capital but their offer was rejected by administrator as he considered by Mr P as worth less than liquidation route.
He says only assets were/are "desks and chairs and last years shirts". He understands there is another( unnamed) bid being considered.
Other articles :
confirming Clare signing for Leigh- but they are unsure about how RFL will deal with registration
Welham target for Giants and possibly Salford

Well in a word... yes it would seem so. Certainly not expecting any big money buyer who is willing to bankroll the rebuild. Though remember that Chalmers/Lumb have a vested interest and do not have a clue what any of the other bidders are offering or indeed who they are.
But I'm not feeling particularly optimistic right now.

If the club is liquidated, the admin would sell all remaining assets and the creditors would be paid out of the funds raised in doing so.
Despite there supposedly not being much there in the way of assets to sell, Chalmers is saying that his offer to the creditors was so sh*t that liquidation would actually have raised more money.
So basically he wanted the club for next to nothing and now he's bitching in the press about it. Also not sure how Lamb knows anything about other bids given that all bids are private. My guess is he's just full of sh*t too just like he was in the last admin.

| Yep, Lamb's strategy of buying if liquidated because he cares about the rugby seems rather at odds. If you want the club Richard then buy it.
Oh you can't can you?

Well the thing is, at the stage when he was so full of optimism, I suspect he might only have known who the interested parties were and how much they were worth etc.
I'm fairly certain he never said anything about multi million pound [ibids[/i.
You could have someone like Irvine - worth a few bob - show serious interest in the club. Petit gets all excited. Irvine then turns around and says actually mate, I only want it once it's been liquidated.
You could have the wealthiest guy in the world bidding for the club but at the end of the day you can't stop him offering only pennies to the creditors. These guys are rich for a reason - they aren't mugs.

| When will Lamb get it around his head that the Bulls won't ever do anything if it is fan owned/run. There are simply not enough fans to make it successful who actually have time on their hands and cash.
Don't get me wrong, a wealthy backer with a small fan representation on the board would do the world of good, if the fans are the right people (ie, mix of good business knowledge and rugby knowledge/expertise) however this would be a small representation and not actually own the club.

| Well if liquidated I assume we would have no obligation to play at Odsal and we would be a part time outfit in L1. So in that scenario it might well be possible to have a Supporter Trust model. But pro RL in Bradford would be dead and buried and it would be a long and unlikely road back given all that has happened I'm afraid.

Letting people with not enough money and no passion for the club take over would be nothing short of madness.
At least if the fans have control of the club you can decide its future

It won't happen. Studd and Richard Lamb are both dreaming if they think a club of this size can be run by a supporters trust, or even just part financed by one.
We have a core support of what, 4k?
People pushing this idea always quote Rangers as the example of it working - conveniently forgetting that their support base is at least ten times the size of ours.

I'll leave it up to the intelligent members of this forum to decide if they think Mr Duffy and Mr Smith were aware of proceedings or not.'"
Which if true (not that I'm doubting you a lot of what you have out has been spot on) would explain the fallouts if any

I'm not a fan either, but if liquidated it wouldn't be what we currently have, would it? And I doubt it would likely get to that anytime soon under supporter control unfortunately.

Well if we're liquidated and end up playing part time (or worse) in champ 1 then that's me done anyway so Lamb can do whatever the hell he wants.

| Won't the main problem be the proximity of the 2017 season? The RFL can possibly negotiate a lease quickly with a new club, but all the other things have to be agreed with people like the security company, as well as the playing contracts. I can't imagine you could form a new company, arrange a supporters trust, negotiate all the player contracts and everything else required to put on a professional rugby match with 4000 paying customers in the time before the first fixture.
Good luck tomorrow.
