In what respect?
Spotland is a neat ground with cover on all four sides, and seats on three and disabled access to the ground. Capacity is just under 10,000 and we're easily found just off the M62. The only negative is that we only have a small car park but we have schools fairly near who usually let us take advantage of their premises for parking.
Hornets will see this as an opportunity to get a bit of cash in the bank and not a realistic chance of progressing into the next round.
As editor of the matchday programme I'd hope you will buy one and also buy some Golden Gambles, our half time draw. These are all things we use to try and raise much needed cash to help run our club.
Hornets is a Co-Op wholly owned by the fans
I expect your fans will be housed in the Willbutts Lane stand which holds around 3,750 and has a concession stand.
So please come along with an open mind and enjoy your day out and give us the respect we deserve, we can't all be Super League clubs you know.
Pugwash.

| TBF I'm sure the OP was referring to Rochdale the town, not your esteemed club. I always enjoyed trips to your place and it would be nice to be back except I'll be in Spain. But I think you won the Cup back in the 1920s, and don't you hold the record CC high score record? Also there are many links between Bradford and Rochdale, notably Deryck Fox, Matt Calland, Eddie Tees and of course the late Roy Powell.

| I can go back to the Athletic Grounds to be honest [which IIRC were nearer the motorway, or would have been if the motorway had been there then....though, I can't [iactually[/i of course as they they don't exist now, but you get my drift.
I remember Spotland too from those days - seeing Park Avenue playing against 'Dale and and long gone are the corrugated sheets at the end of the ground....I have to say it was much improved from those days the last time the Bulls were there. Small but nicely formed, I think! Looking forward to the match.

| Puggy,
I was referring to Rochdale the Town.
As for Spotland, I’ve been there 7-8 times with my Football Club.
Just hope you don’t use the same Stewards as you do for the Football…not helpful in the slightest.
The PA system is very loud but as the PA man plays Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and general “Madchester” music I’ll let him off
Parking is awful and it’s miles away from anywhere.
The Pub at the end of the road at the back of the away end is pretty decent.
I would also recommend the Fish & Chip shop directly behind the away end (if it’s open)

We were once at a game with Cas at Leigh when one of their elderly fans exclaimed in exasperation (try it in a comedy Lancashire accent) "You've not got t'brains God gave geese". It's stuck with me for over 25 years.

I'll never forget a game against Wigan and as Shaun Edwards stood on the touchline waiting for a kickoff, a tiny old octogenarian with no teeth and flat cap screamed:
"EDWARDS!! If my dog wor as ugly as thee, I'd shave its arrse an make it walk backwards!!!"

| Not a huge amount. I like some things (The Fall, Magazine, Barry Adamson, and I've had Inspiral Carpet's Saturn V stuck in my head on and off for twenty years or so), but the Stone Roses thing turned into hagiography and a pox on that kind of thing. Anyone with an Oasis haircut in 2013 wants shooting. This is unfortunately every band of young lads under the age of 20 I've seen down at [url=http://oldchapelleeds.com/default.aspxOld Chapel[/url in the last fifteen years.

| The Stone Roses first album is a classic IMO. However it has been played to death so I haven't wanted to listen to it for at least a decade.
Saturn V happened to be the first song played at my wedding reception.

| That's weird, I think I have Saturn V in my head more often than any other song too. I still don't know the words properly so have to mmmmmm those bits.
And now, thanks to this, it is back in my head again.

| It's a great album. But if everyone who now claims to have been at Spike Island all stood at one end of the country it'd flip over and land on our heads.

I work in the fancily titled Directorate that also manages the refectory where the gig took place. I have numerous meetings in the adjoining building, the photos of some of the bands playing there is staggering. However, in the 5 years I have been here there is barely a band I have wanted to see.

Rochdale have allocated their Willbuts Lane stand to us. This is a 3,400 seat stand down one side of the ground.
Tickets are £12 adults, £8 concessions and £5 "kids"
These are available now from the Bulls ticket office (where the club get a commission) or on the day.
The coach price is £11 from Odsal.
So..£23 for a ticket and travel or £19 for us oldies.
It would have been all pay at full rate had the match been at a home = £20/£15 concession standing: and £25/£20 concession seating.
My old lass and I are two of the smarmy rich bast@rds in the premier seats and our tickets at home would have cost £30/25 concession.
So a saving on concessions of £12 for both of us - travel included.

| Tens of thousand acclaim to have the seen the last Beatles concert in Bradford in 1964. I know my first wife did as she told me so.
When we met some months later it was a romantic moment to recall that we had, on that very night in October, been within yards of each other. Her in the Gaumont and me passing it's door on transit from the Lord Clyde to the Metropole.
We are still married in no little part I think due to that magic moment of coincidence.
I still refer to her as my first wife just to keep her on her toes
