He's not really kicked on as expected for us- with a strong pack and few injuries he got limited chance last year- when he did he just seemed to try too hard and suffered from overplaying /rushes iof blood to the head. He has good go forward and has got the makings - I think a regular spot is what he needs so he can concentrate less about trying to impress and more about doing the basics and playing a game of rugby.

Decent signing for us I reckon. I think we could also try find a couple of 2nd rowers who can tackle.

Hopefully this is with a view to a permanent deal. I think with some regular games Mullally would develop into a very good prop. He has an offload in him and is awkward to get hold of.

A big prop with lots of potential, nowhere near his peak yet at 22yo.

And he's fast too

Hope he goes well for you - he has all the physical attributes to succeed and hopefully getting a run of SL games will help him kick on from a good World Cup showing.

The Wakefield players voted him as their most difficult oponent when we played them at BV last season.

But from what I have seen if he carries on developing one of the top clubs ( eg One Whitehead doesn't play for) will be after him - or yawnion. The way he burst through tackles at speed reminded me a bit of Big Sam when he first came into the Bulls team.

That's fair comment mate, but at the end of the day he can't make your team and if you stay a top team for a bit longer you'll come to realise you just can't keep 'em all.

We used to console ourselves with the thought that we had kept the best, though it doesn't always work out like that in the long run...

But not quiet as "top" as Saints who are supposed to be interested.

So has his loan been extended, or, as I fully expect, on this good news day, has he been sent back?

I'm sure that nasty horrible club with the chairman wished dead will allow him to stay. The arrangement seems to suit both parties. You need a prop, mullally needs to get game time at a higher level than batley. When we signed him it was made publicly clear by Anderson that mullally was 'work in progress' and that he would need some further development so I reckon he will stay with us at least till the end of his contract in October 2015- I would understand if he wanted a permanent move to be playing every week- but I hope he's thinking about his longer term future - who best for a young prop to learn from than Anderson!
I've always liked mullally he's an 'honest' player- plenty of enthusiasm just needs to think a bit cleverer occasionally (yes yes, I know, he's a prop!)

If he's on a season loan does that mean he can play against Hudds in the 2 further games I am so excited about for later in the season

Great for the Bulls... He'll improve game by game. I would have loved to have had him back and seen him in the claret and gold this season to give some of our experienced props a break. Hope he goes well for you lot and gets game time against us!

Doubt it. It would be unusual if he were.

Evans played for us at home to Warrington last year. Also, Hudds let Fairbank play against them at MM last year.
Thought the normal protocol was if it was a seasons loan people didn't put restrictions in the way.
