| It was right to send Morrison to the bin. He had just been penalised and put in a high tackle.
The fact that the ref got the original decision so badly wrong would be slightly missing the point.

| Just got back. Good game tonight, shame its all over but at least we won tonight. Just a few thoughts;
-If we'd played like this from week 1 we would be in the 8 with room to spare.
-Well done to everyone who made it over, great away support and atmosphere tonight, just went a bit flat midway through the 2nd half when it was clear saints were not going to win.
-Morrison was a fool for getting himself binned, shame to end on that note.
- At full speed, 10m in front of me I would have bet my mortgage that the first hull try was a double movement, oh well.
- Deacon did not have a terrible game, he did well, but took a lot of late hits and seemed targeted as usual
- Lots of players put in a good shift tonight but honourable mentions to Menzies (awesome) Scruton, Lynch, Langley and Godwin.
- Funniest moment was when the lad two rows in front of me, who had spent most of the match winding up the Hull fans in cretin corner, stood up, removed his jacket to reveal a Hull KR shirt... to much amusement from us and much, much annoyance from the Hull fans needless to say he was promtly ejected a few min later.
-An enjoyable night, shame we screwed it all up months back, but there looks to be enough to build on for next season to me, roll on 2010.
COME ON YOU BULLS

not so sure about that, it was an entertaining game yes, but both sides have huge flaws and would have been beaten by better sides tonight IMHO.

True, but with room to spare maybe I meant 7th?
That performance tonight would have been enough to turn a handful of close losses we've had whilst playing much worse than tonight.
But in the end, neither of the teams tonight deserve playoff rugby this year, although i dont think you played tonight like a team placed in 12th, you looked good for spells tonight, but like us you cant seem to do it for 80. Anyway, I had a good night tonight, always like visiting hull, good crack with a few 'ull fans on the way in and out, heres to doing it all again next year.

Thats it in a nutshell. Only capable of playing for about 40mins a game, which with SL being more competitive than ever isn't good enough. Glad you enjoyed your trip over.

| Well, there we are. It was good while it lasted and nice to still have something to play for come the last day. Typical bloody Saints to spoil the party.
In all honesty, after the season we have had, we didnt deserve a play off spot, but it was nice to dream.
I think tonight just about sums up the whole season - some brilliant rugby, some dire rugby, some bad luck, some unbelievable decisions and a "freak" result in other games. Thats pretty much how its been all season.
Thought Scruton was amazing tonight, he really took it to Hull. I hope he starts off like that next year.
Well played anyway, nice to go out on a high note.
Cheers and best wishes to Morro, Solo, Newton, BJ, etc.
Heres to next season.

I must have been sat near you because that's pretty much how I saw it.
One other funny thing though, there was a young skinny lad near the front aged about 13 and 5 stone wet through, gesturing and offering the Hull fans out. Funniest thing I have seen at a game for yonks.

The impression I got was that him and Langley were taken aback by the support. And to be fair, I don't blame them. It's not that often you get decent vocal support for the Bulls!

Sames, although I dont think they knew the other result. They were clearly very emotional.
Come on Red, give the guy a break, he and the rest tried their hardest out there and we're happy they won and keen to show their appreciation for the support they recieved.

I agree with that because he looked really dejected when they;dd all spoken and started leaving the pitch.
Godwin tends to be one of the first over every time and he's proved to me that he's the starting hooker next year with L'estrange spotting him.

I've been a Godwin critic, but he plays with a lot of passion for sure. He's played really well latley and he should get the starting spot next season.

Rikki was jumping about as well. But give the lads the benefit of the doubt. That was a hard-thought game and if anything it relfects well upon them that they were so focused on the game that they had not picked up on what was happening at Knowsley Road.

I don't reckon Rikki did, straight away. I didn't notice Godwin.
By the way, where are my props for predicting
1. This season had one final kick in the balls in store for us.
2. That we would miss the play-offs by the point we dropped in the final second of the very first game.
Well? Derren Brown has nothing on me.

| I thought you could tell Langley and Godwin didn't know the score cause both went from over excited to slow clapping and glum faces pretty quickly when the rest of the team came over.
Watch Menzies interview, you could tell he didn't know till Bill told him. It seemed that Bill assumed he knew as well. That's how i took it anyway.
I knew you couldn't rely on this St Helens team. Just not the same team of previous seasons and were without their only truly decent prop this season.
But give me OTT passion in a player any day of the week over some boring Newton type player who never really looked like he wanted to be a Bulls player but was a professional all the same.

I don't think they did. I don't think many of the players did by the way they came over first time, and then came over the second time looking more despondent.
I didn't hear any announcement. Was there one?
