I agree he would have made an excellent coach but I do believe aswell that he wanted to carry on his playing career as long as possible and may have been asking for too much $$$ for a coaching role.

I think you may well be right. It is likely that he turned down more lucrative offers for a 1 year player contract and opted for a primarily coaching position. In deference to Featherstone its unlikely that the financial rewards were the main inducement.
Immense experience and always an excellent game reader, I'll watch his coaching career with great interest.

Well as some will never blame McNamara for them, somebody has to be made a scapegoat. Iestyn was blamed for practically everything for four years whilst at the club so it is fine for him to be that scapegoat.

There`s no reason why Iestyn shouldn`t make a good coach but as for the Bulls employing him, to be fair that rather depended on there being a position vacant which there wans`t , and still isn`t so far as I know.

Wigan seem to have hundreds, though I would go for quality over quantity.

FWIW I think Harris will make a top coach. Apart from his annoying habit of referring to every team as 'This Bradford team', 'This Wigan team' etc. You watch next time.
