From that it seems like Dewsbury. How much would it cost to put on a few double deckers running from/to Odsal for each 'home' game?

| It seems to me that the article completely rules out Valley Parade - for the reasons stated there, and perhaps others.
That appears to leave Horsfall and Dewsbury as the only options right now. Dewsbury as the 'fall back', as it says, and presumably Horsfall as a better option in that it is not only in Bradford but just down the road from Odsal.
I'm not clear what the long-term plan would be for another stadium in Bradford, as he seems to be saying Horsfall is a stop-gap.
The other really interesting thing is that he clearly states that he's already sounded all this out with the RFL / Rimmer and believes that RFL permission will be given. That's massive really - because the RFL could have played hardball with the club to protect their rental income. Obviously some smoke and mirrors going on with the lease and future plans, one would assume...

| The only way a move out of the city will work is if it were for a short period of time whilst we arrange a long term plan. For example, move the club over to Dewsbury/Keighley for a season whilst Horsfall's facilities are improved.
Moving the club out of the city permanently should be the final option.

| Horsfall for me assuming it can upgraded sufficiently to a capacity of around 5k. But none of the options look like great prospects for us longer term. Dewsbury would be acceptable for a couple of years if a new facility was under construction but that seems a bit optimistic.

| If we move out of Bradford I think it will be the end for us how many will go to dewsbury for a home game I think we will still be at odsal next season but I can understand why we need to leave

| Reading Bull mania's post, there seems to be a fair bit of expecting the RFL to agree to things. Fair enough in normal circumstances but aren't we about to 'do the dirty' and leave them in a bit of a financial mess? Why would our chairman think would they facilitate this?

| I've not voted as my preference would be to remain at Odsal, but obviously this doesn't appear to be viable and I certainly wouldn't suggest staying under any cost. So it would be Dewsbury for me; it ticks all the boxes for a short term move, other than not being in Bradford. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

| None of the options charmers presents are good ones IMO. Can understand why VP isn’t viable cost wise. Not sure why he talks about both dewsbury and horsfall as short term options. A new option isn’t going to magically appear once we move to either. IMO any move is going to permanent and longish term(10yrs +). I’d reluctantly go to an upgraded horsfall but dewsbury is a total nonstarter as far as myself and group I go with is concerned and would end our attending live games and buying tickets.

Maybe because that's still a better outcome for them than if we moved out altogether?

| How would people feel if the Bulls put on coach travel from Odsal to Dewsbury each home match? Would you still not bother getting a season ticket?

| Quote Firstly, we have been successful in negotiating an economically viable option for relocation and occupancy at the Tetley Stadium, Dewsbury, thanks to owner and chairman Mark Sawyer. This represents our fall-back position, if we are unable to achieve a viable deal within Bradford. I don’t envisage this would be a permanent arrangement, but would be part of a broader plan to develop our own facilities within in a 2 to 4 year period. If we are forced to take this option it would be on the basis that we will ultimately return to Bradford'"
I'd like Chalmers to elaborate more on this particular part of his statement. What is this broader plan to develop our own facilities? Just wishful thinking or is there a bit more to this?

| If I am being totally selfish, Dewsbury fits the bill. It almost equidistant from where I currently live as Odsal.
Would I go regularly? I'm not sure. Every time one of these 'situations' occur (admin, liquidation etc) I feel that much less invested in the club. This would be another one of those things that would cause me to be less invested - since there isn't even the familiarity with the ground (having been going for nigh on fifty years).
Reading this and other forums, and social media, this appears to be a common theme. Many of us trudge along out of some sense of duty / loyalty / habit. It won't take that much for many of us to stop going altogether, or at least much less often.

Tbh the distance is only one issue for me. Others are fact it’s outside Bradford and the extra time commitment needed for travel plus effectively having all home games as ‘away’ games. Just not something I’m prepared to do - personal choice. Wonder if chalmers has allowed for a significant drop in attendances when he’s costed dewsbury option.

No. Didn’t miss a game. Didn’t particularly enjoy it as I prefer standing. Dewsbury is just a bridge too far for me

| For me I would go to Dewsbury or any non Bradford ground reluctantly provided there was a clear deliverable plan to return to Bradford that had been signed up to by all the partners needed. If not then it's just another sign of decline that leaves me feeling like we're doomed. We all have our breaking points and I'm nearing mine.

That's the vagueness I was talking about. I need more detail if I'm going to be persuaded to buy a season ticket.

| Why did he put the Valley parade break clause in the article? Surely the council isnt considering a new joint stadium to open about 2027 for both clubs on a new site?

| He's played his hand "straight from his laptop" and its exactly what I suspected - two ultimatums implied for me; invest in the stadium yourselves or we're off to Dewsbury, and you get no rent and it slowly rots, or sell me the lease at a steal and I'll invest in rebuilding myself.

| I’ll be getting a season ticket wherever we play.
After multiple admins and liquidation, playing away from Odsal won’t put me off but I understand why it will for many!
Just out of interest, for those of you who won’t go to Dewsbury........ if we were having a good season next year would it be enough to tempt you? Or if we made the play offs would you attend?

| I've previously said that I wouldn't go to support a team playing as Bradford that are playing their home games in another city or town. I've changed my mind on that, but only if it is temporary and there is a definite plan to return to Bradford within 2 years.
Cas, Rhinos, Fev and Hunslet are all closer to me and if I wanted to I could go watch any number or all of them if I wanted a fix of RL. The only thing that is keeping me supporting Bradford is that its the team from where I am from. Lose that then it's probably game over.
My preference is probably for Horsfall.
Can the field at Horsfall take RL in the wet?
