Bit harsh on the Kashmir which whilst only average a while back has been on good form for at least the past couple of years - where would you suggest?

Westgate. Past Morrisons heading out of town on the other side of the road, not quite as far as The Beehive.

I've only been to the Kashmir twice and both were about 10 years ago. They rank as the worst and the second worst curry I've ever had in Bradford.

vbfg's is a good call, the Westgate is very good. The Sheesh Mahal next door is also excellent. Aside from those, the International on Morley Street or the Punjab on Listerhills Road.

This ^^. The Kash ain't what it used to be. The Westgate is a rough diamond, and within easy reach of fashionable North Parade.

Punjab Sweet Centre still v good too. Had Christmas dinner in there today.

The Red, Amber and Black forum could do with a curry guide...

Please don't bring curry into the discussion. The wife's got me eating healthy and I'm slowly dying inside.

Plenty of healthy curry dishes if you look, especially if you make your own.

We had a party over Christmas and I made 4 different types of curry. Went down a storm but I need to leave it a few weeks before I even contemplate cooking another one. Took ages.

Not fair to judge the Kashmir on 10 years ago, much improved since then. I had a couple of terrible experiences in the Sheesh Mahal and wouldn't venture there again. Oh to find somewhere as good as the Silver Jubilee on Oak Lane used to be back in the 80's before it became a no go area at night. Out of town the Sharma in Bingley (NOT the Shipley one) is superb but always rammed so difficult to get in.

I wasn't aware the Kashmir had done anything to improve, but if they have, good on them. It needed it! I still won't be trying them again after previous experience, but if they have sorted it, I applaud them.

I was in the Sheesh Mahal just before Christmas and the curry was excellent. I confess I slightly prefer the Westgate though, even though I advise not going to the loo upstairs until you've already finished eating.

Agreed about the Westgate Loos. Curry is great. Bit old school in there.

Sheesh Mahal is always popular but IMO not that great when packed.

Bengal Grill/Sweet Centre on Legrams Lane is my favourite place in Bradford.

Reagrding the Jube, as us kids call it, on Oak Lane - I didn't move here until the 90s & never had a problem there. Apart from young Ridlerbull spoiling the 'hood.

Chapple Kebabs there are the best starter I think I've ever had in a curry house. Admittedly my backside doesn't agree the morning after, but well worth it.

I like sex after a curry as well.

They've been variable this year. Had some greasy messes of a Chapple kebab with very little flavour, never mind heat. Back on form yesterday though.
