| Quote ="martinwildbull"if it was me I (...first of all I would not have agreed to take on a millstone with another millstone around my neck, but assuming I was daft enough to listen to a sporting politician...) the PG would only be for the balance after OKB had coughed up, if its as you say then OK had pretty poor advisors. However its your intriguing comment that insolvency would not trigger the payback that seems to contradict whats out there. Why the discrepancy?'"
The trigger was not completing the 2 years fixtures. The fixtures will, absent another disaster, be completed. In any event until the season ends, logically the trigger can't be triggered. There are other complications too.

OK agreed the terms as part of continued participation in SL. There is some conjecture about the rationale behind the requirement but ultimately OK knew what the score was'"
I think OK was very misguided when he took on the RFL's not very generous offer, his decision was every bit as poor as the RFL bods who made it. Taking half of the funding from an owner who, in terms of many other club owners, was far from "rich", was a recipe for disaster, and if you'll pardon my mixed metaphors, they harvested just what had been sown.
If it's any consolation to you, the one thing the RFL's conduct in all this has shown, it is that Mr Carter, who probably got the same kind of ' helpful advice', definitely has a point. The RFL, if we accept LeagueDweeb as being, at least semi-official, is economical with the truth, disingenuous and isn't fit for purpose.

I think you are in one of your parallel universes with this response. No solicitor in their right mind would allow such an open ended trigger. Another f' up by OKs solicitors. As you are quite fond of asking, show me the document with this wording, pdf via PM will be fine.

| It's not an open ended trigger though. Once we completed the last few fixtures, the gun would be put beyond use.

Whomever he is, this Bermuda triangle of LD, FA and MartinWildBull is seriously boring. What a carry on.

| One good thing, by the time the appeal gets heard, the 6 points we get back, with interest and inflation, should be up to 7 points.

| The more this goes on the more you wonder why exactly has gone on.
I wonder if the RFL started down the rocky road when they gave Bradford and Wakefield a licence tbh. I suspect neither had a strong enough bid and that no one in the championship had a strong enough bid either (highly unlikely as a remember a champ club whingeing at the time that they had a stronger bid than Wigan or some rubbish. Think they were from somewhere called Halifax or something but I've never heard of the place and not sure if they even play rugby league there.).
Being honest how could we get a B licence with what we now know about the state of the finances.
How far in are the RFL with both clubs? They've lent money to each we know that. They silence from Red Hall is deafening bearing in mind the gravity of some of the accusations of late.

Those accusations appear to be coming from a) those whose default position is that the RFL is to blame for everything, or b) those who were responsible for the mess they created when involved at clubs.
Were it not for the RFL Bradford Bulls would most likely not exist as a club.
In regard to the appeal hearing, as reported, and as I correctly stated, it was due in the lead up to the Wakefield game, but will not be heard midweek after it.
Let's hope the fans of both clubs turn out in big numbers next Sunday. It's a pivotal game in the season.

It might well be, but, just out of interest, how exactly do you attract more people through the gates for this game? It is all well and good wanting a big crowd to get behind the side but when the product being served up is as bad as it is at the moment, it is hard to see why anyone would want to part with their hard-earned 20 sheets of green to watch it?
There seems to be no interest ON the pitch so, by definition, this will follow OFF the pitch too.
The marketing team at the Stuart Duffy Stadium have a VERY hard week trying to get people through the gates to attend a match that really should sell itself.
That said, I reckon a higher than usual number will be making the trip on horseback up the road from Wakefield. They will be feeling very confident indeed.

| With the Wakefield match up being so pivotal, it should be a TV match with a video referee, and a strong match official in the middle; by that I mean =#FF4000not James Child or one of the newbie jubies.

Well as the two other TV games are Hudda/Wigan and Leeds/Warrington, I can't see Bradford/Wakey being a better TV game. Both sides are playing some awful rugby at the moment. It really will be a case of who plays less worse on Sunday.
Although I don't rate Childs, he has improved. I expect Silverwood and Thaler to get the TV games and us a pick from the rest. Probably Bentham or Childs.

| The sad fact is that the players have taken their collective bat home. We will still finish in the bottom two even if a miracle happened and the good lord gives us all 6 points back. As it is, with nobody having given even a hint of any point that might be remotely productive to take on appeal, it seems improbable that we will get anything back; but the way we are playing I reckon we would need about 12 or 13 extra points from the Panel.

| To be honest, what we needed wasn't the six points but the lost revenue - and we really needed it before the season started. With the original team, as a settled unit, we were way more than six points better than Wakefield.
