| And to add to all the doubts, it appears a certain very unprofessional staff member is giving season tickets away and the recipients are not exactly hiding the fact...
We are in no position to be giving any away, let alone handling it in such an amateur fashion...
Whoops - there's that word again....

| Bulls have tweeted to say there will be at least 13 home games included. 13 would be less than this season. It does say "at least" though so it's still only a partial answer to one of the questions that people need answering before deciding whether to buy or not.
Interestingly, Championship 1 teams this season didn't have 13 home games. So how exactly are they guaranteeing that? There's info that isn't being provided, clearly.

The website only speaks about 'regular season games'. Not Championship Shield games then? Not League 1 Play Off games? Does that mean 8 home games as this year in League 1, or 12 as in this years Championship?
Until we know with total clarity what we are being asked to buy, why would anyone hand over £199? I know where my money is staying (and it's nowhere near Odsal)'"
The Premier Club price is £249. But you pay an extra £50 or so for the parking so £299.
If my arithmetic is correct, and if somehow it does include 13 games (how?) then for the sheer excitement of watching Hemel Stags it would work out, based on the regular season games it says it covers, and based on nothing else in the league setup changing, at £19.15 per game without the parking.
Bargain is not the word I'm looking for. Plus it is dire that shortly after announcing the tickets, they have to start tweeting clarifications. Which are still in conflict with "regular season games" that remains on the website.
It's far from a direct comparison, but Huddersfield is all seater and you can buy a season ticket for £299 to watch all the Premier League clubs including Man U., Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and all the rest for £299. There are 19 regular season home games so that works out at around £15.73 a game.
I can't imagine anybody buying a ticket on the bare bones announced, though no doubt some may. I am sitting on my hands. I feel as if someone is taking my custom for granted.

They are either guessing, which is silly - or they know information that they cannot, or don't want to, please to the fans
There's no other way to interpret 'at least 13 home games' - because we didn't have 13 games on the Season Ticket this season (11 regular season + Summer Bash + 3 Shield = 15). If you only count 'regular season home games' (as the website says) then it would be 11 games.
And there's no way that League 1 clubs had 'at least 13 games' at home this season. They had either 7 or 8 home league games plus 4 games in the Shield or Play Offs i.e either 11 or 12. Either way, there's no combination on this season's structure that allows for 13 home games
So, to announce 13 (at least) as a number is either a blind guess, or they know something about restructuring that they can't yet say
Either way, my money is staying in my pocket until we get clarification.

| The rumours of the restructure were that the championship would be expanded to a 14 team league.
Such a scenario would leave us with at least 13 home games in a season...

No idea where they are getting 13 minimum games from?! As you've highlighted no League One team are guaranteed to play 13 home games this season unless they get to the semi finals. With the luck we've had we can't assume we will be in the mix next season. Perhaps they are including a pre-season friendly in with that price?

I'd like to know of the extra 3 or 4 are included if we hit the qualifiers

And if two extra from Champ 1 were added to the Championship, both of those leagues would have 14 teams. Just raises more questions really.

All of which, whilst true, simply adds fuel to the conspiracy rumours - that there are plans afoot about which we have not yet told.
... which begs the question as to why they are selling season tickets. Why not wait until it is announced - presumably after the last game of the season on Sunday, and then start selling tickets when everything is perfectly clear about what the hell we are being asked to buy into?

| Amateurish as per usual. I wouldn't trust the club with £20 up front at the moment, never mind several hundred.
Although I was always going to see how I felt about things in the new year so it wouldn't really matter what was released as far as I was concerned.

its easy to sit here and criticize and be negative, if you put money in it gives them the tools to work with and build.
I don't care whether we are in L1 or the Championship as long as we have a squad that is good to watch.

Huddersfield Towns central funding won't be £75k though
So i'm guessing we're in a 14 team league. That's either an extended championship, or a reduced L1 with teams merging (which is also heavily rumoured)
Regarding people buying tickets. There is obviously going to be a shouting match between those who think everything is rosy, and those who are just commenting on every negative aspect. They will be a lot of "what the hell do people want, get behind your club" and the " why aren't tickets cheap. Why have we signed that player, he's crap"
I get people not buying tickets when they don't know what league or structure we will be in. It's farcical. I think this is more to do with the ineptitude of the RFL rather than the Bulls this time. One thing i don't understand is fan complaining about price (some, who are also the same fans who complain if a crap player re-signs) Yes we're down a league, but we're also running an academy and trying to sign up a decent squad. Some fans seem to want to pay peanuts for an ST, but also have Chisholm, Oakes, Sironen signed up and releasing Mendeika, Thomas etc. We can't have both when we are getting £75k central funding. If you want to see HG players like Butterworth, Oakes, Kirk playing along side Chisholm, then the money has to come from somewhere. We haven't a Koukash. I'm more than happy to pay the prices as a long as we get a decent squad (which has got to an unexpected positive start)

Bit harsh, when we were, in fact, getting 4000 of "some fans" despite them paying top dollar for 2017.

Yep, me too. I don't care what league we are in, who the owners are or what the team looks like. To me, I will support the club through thick and thin. I don't judge others on their choice but this is mine.
Now, the sensible part of my brain will make sure I buy it using a Credit Card so that if the e hits the fan again, I can claim my money back. This way I know I'm supporting the club's current cash flow with the knowledge I'm protected.
Can understand why folk would say I'm not going to bother with next season as I've had enough, but really don't get why you would hold off thinking the club will fold.

| I'm going to throw my money in. Like last year. I can afford to lose it, so it puts me in a minority I know, but without the cash the club will fold...again. I hold no grudges against anyone who isn't going to buy in but I honestly don't think we are being ripped off by the owner(s) this year at least. There is no way in hell they turned a profit.

| I totally understand those people who will always buy them. The "always have, always will" folks. I wish I was one of them, one that no matter how much the club knacked me off and treated me as nothing but someone to hand over cash, it didn't matter because my love for the club helped me look past that. Those fans will be the ones that keep the club going, in whatever guise it ends up in. Good on them, genuinely. I'm not one of them sadly. Not because of a lack of love for the club, but because I'm a stubborn bleeder who gets to a point where I start to think enough is enough. Everyone has a different point for that, I've hit mine. I feel like I'm being ripped off by someone charging me the same amount for a lower quality product (and I mean opposition here, not our own squad) and what is likely to be less games. To me it's like going to the shop one day and getting 10 apples for a fiver, then going back tomorrow and they'll only give you 8 apples (5 of which are going off a bit) for the same five quid. I'm probably not gonna bother with the apples, even though I do so love to eat them.
What I don't get are these people who are STILL peddling the "If you want a good team, you have to pay for it" line. How many years on the trot has that been rolled out now? How many years have we heard (from chairmen, football managers or fans) that if we all put our money in and get behind the team, it'll all get better? And how many of those years has it happened?
You know the old phrase about fooling me once and twice? What's the phrase for Fool me Five Times?

| We're getting the usual debate here that crops up at this point every year.
I don't think its unreasonable to hold off buying a Season Ticket until we know for certain which division we are going to be in.
Otherwise it's a bit like buying a ticket for the theatre with the hope of seeing a touring West End production, but with the possibility that what you'll actually get is a local Amateur Dramatic show.

| Well, I am here to be sold to. I've had a season ticket since the late 60s and never missed, but now I might. If the club sell me the idea of a 2018 ticket then I'm in. Will they try? I don't know. It may not be their fault, they probably don't even know what league, or thus what funding, we may be financially stiffed again by the Tribunal, so how can they sensibly budget it? But, sales is different. Sell 2018 to me.

Aston is only interested in what's best for Sheffield Eagles. By having all those teams he mentions in an expanded Championship it reduces the chance of the Eagles being relegated which, given their current plight, is becoming more of a possibility.

Same here.
I dont have a problem if some people want (and can afford) to get an ST now; but if the rest of us dont want (or are not yet ready) to get a ST now - just accept it - you wont convince us with "you must be loyal......stand by your team......they need you......" give over we've been had for mugs too many times now

| The one thing I have found surprising is the amount of people thinking the ticket is expensive. The terrace ticket is 9 pounds more expensive than York this coming year. Yet we are running a squad with a few full time players and as paulwalker71 said the academy structure too. I dont blame anyone for waiting because you then make a choice to purchase on what you know what you will get for your money as opposed to sitting and wishing for the best
