It's a good point. When was the last bradford coaching appointment that didn't have some previous connection to the club? Brian smith, and that worked out pretty good.

| We would do well to keep Disco till the end of the season, and look to appoint somebody for next season, Glen Morrison has my vote to take over.

| Given the way Diskin presented himself in interviews following the Dewsbury game, he certainly seems more eloquent and projects himself as having a better tactical grip on the game, I'm not opposed to him taking the reigns until a permanent replacement is appointed and I'd rather the club took its time and went for the right man, not the right now man

| Think improvement we saw under different coaching in dewsbury game showed that its the right time for Lowes to go. Pleased in a way that he's gone under his own steam rather than getting sacked. Timing seems slightly odd. Maybe club have known for last week or so and were hoping to get someone in place before this weeks game?. Possibly also reason new recruits rumoured as imminent havent appeared as yet, waiting on new coach to have final say.

Staying well away hopefully. Similarly to Lowes, not yet cut it as a head coach, and a gamble we just don't need to take.

| Please not Smith. I would rather have the bloke that came before him and did the actual coaching - Elliot. Smith was just a figurehead. Didn't he only stay a year which meant he knew after a few months he would be leaving. To me Smith is just a wanderer living on a reputation that I can't actually remember where he gained it.
It was only a few weeks ago that there was the interview with Morrison. Didn't Ferres say good things about him being someone to watch. He must be near the top of the list.
Most people go due to personal reasons. The Leigh coach did but had the Toronto job within weeks if not before. I expect Mr Green let Jimmy know his time was up and we already have someone lined up.
Big decision though. Get this wrong and the Bulls may not survive another two years of struggle.

| Smith's reputation comes from almost but not quite doing it over a long period of time, but his real legacy is in leaving a trail of assistants who did go on to do it in one capacity or another. The "Brian Smith School" is over, finished, done. No ta.

| Scott Naylor is another name being mentioned. He looks to be doing a great job at Oldham.
You have to wonder how much free reign a new coach will have with Ferres pulling the strings in the background, especially with recruitment? How much involvement does Ferres have exactly. Somebody has made some major recruitment mistakes over the past couple of years and it's difficult to know exactly where the buck stops. A new coach will only cover over so many cracks if its Ferres calling the shots.

| Recruitment wise, Ferres has managed to put together a pretty decent squad. The failure of a 7 is evident, but there were attempt to get Jacks on board this year, I think it was Lowes that said no to that plan.
Even if you take into consideration the players that we signed and then shipped out on loan, the squad we assembled looks pretty impressive, for this division. Only player I have an issue with is Mathers....
If only we had a coach that could get them playing near to their full potential?

| I'm pretty sure that Lowes wouldn’t have been told what to do. Harrison said after he left that he wasn't really allowed much of an input.
The Bulls do have a decent squad and so they should considering the money they've spent. The squad could have been so much better has they not wasted cap money on players that don't get anywhere near the starting team when we don't have a scrum half.
Big decision for Mr Green coming up. I have no idea who I'd go for? I still see Morrison and Naylor as relatively inexperienced but id be surprised if it isnt one if them. No to Harris from me.
I wonder if Pita Godinet is still interested in joining now Jimmy's gone? There doesn't seem to be much else doing.

| I don't see a rush to make a quick appointment, I'm quite content with Diskin for the time being. It's obvious he got a good reaction from the squad at Dewsbury and I see no reason against him seeing us through the next few weeks.
Call me completely naive if you like, but is there any possibility that one or both of Paul Anderson or Brian McDermott might become available over the next few months?
Yeah, I know - probably wishful thinking. But if Ken Davy decided to terminate Anderson at the Giants should be Top 8 become out of reach, then he'd be available. And what job would be available that would be a better job?

| I'm at a bit of a loss as to why everyone is clamouring for Morro. Isn't he just another well liked ex-player just like we had with Jimmy. What we need is someone with proven coaching experience at a high level. Noble or Potter if you want people with Bulls connections.

Noble is director of rugby or something for new Canada team according to T and A.

| We dont have bags on money so someone who is used to having the best players and cash to spend might be abit lost with the mixed bag of players we have, id like Morrison or Marshal, both seem to be good motivators and both have done very well on tight playing budgets and know how to get the team playing very well.
