| Quote ="phillgee"he had a bit of a twitter rant at the sky commentators the other day too. maybe mr. potter should be having a word about how carried away he gets on there?'"
To be fair, it wasn't really a rant. It was more of an acknowledgement that he seems completely invisible to the Sky commentary team.
Something along the lines of "I could beat 10 players, score a length of the field try and the commentators still wouldn't mention me".
He was certainly a lot more reserved about them than most people watching that and other Super League games have been the last few weeks.
Ok maybe he shouldn't be venting in public, but I can understand his frustration. Looking at some of the crap that got into this England squad, his form has clearly been completely ignored. As far as the commentators go, Eddie may have referred to him but got his name wrong, Stevo would only mention him if he kicked a drop goal, and Clarkey won't acknowledge him unless he signs for Wigan.

| Wonder if McNamara partly blames Platt for his exit from Odsal after the number of brain farts he had while selected at FB? Hence his no selection?
Although I think Platt is playing well, I'd not say he's international standard. He runs and tackles hard, but to be honest he's not the best at getting the ball to his winger. In many ways he's still learning the position.
Hopefully this snub will push inspire him on to bigger and better things.
I'm very happy that he's publicly come out and stated his desire to represent England and his disappointment of non-selection. All these footballers who "retire" from internationals are a joke, at least he's showing the right attitude.

Agree.
I think he'd be better as a left centre as he's right handed so probably would pass better to his left as the movement is more natural.

| We are desperate for qulaity FBs & centres in this country. Though Platt still has potential he is well short of the standard required.

He's better on the right because he carries the ball with his right and fends with his left as do most natural right arm carriers.

| Platt is gutsy, you have to give him that. He's come back from whipping boy status to earn the crowd's respect and now he's backing himself to step up again. Great attitude and I'd like to see more of it.

He's steady but not a patch on Whitehead and Donaldson. Maybe when Donaldson is fully fit he might get the call

| At the moment Donaldson (injury excepted) is nowhere near Ferres. Hopefully for RL he will be better but he has a long way to go physically. Whitehead is about the same effectiveness but will undoubtedly be better.

Lets hope that they both push on this year. whiteheads form (silly penalties aside) has been really good. Hopefully Olbison can be pushing for a Knights place soon also.

| I'd rather see our players picked as it both means they are among the top players in their position and playing at a higher level should improve them.
I also wonder if the RFL have considered arranging a mid season match against France for the Knights squad.

If they were playing at a higher level for a decent coach, I would agree. But it's McNamara. And to be honest, I'd kind of rather our players were kept away from his coaching as much as possible.

| Strange that Peacock can get in the 32 man England Squad after being injured for so long and not having played a game this season, yet no Bulls players MN seems to be keeping to form!

| To be honest, it probably is best at the minute that none of our players are being selected for the England Elite squad. We've got alot on at the minute with injuries to key players, and the last thing we need is setting off to these "training camps" and getting injuries.
As well as that, it enables the boys to focus on their club form, ie. playing for Bradford.

Or additionally make them up their club form to try and get in the squad. Both good things in my book.
But then I'm Scottish so really not bothered about the England squad, sooner it goes back to GB the better

I bet Danny Brough agrees. Would save him having to change countries every 6 months.
